Last week was a whirlwind of website upgrades and launches!

Highlights included:

✨Upgrading a 200+ page website from Squarespace 7.0 to 7.1... in a day!

✨Building and launching a small website for a data analyst... in half a day!

✨Supporting a long-standing client style and finesse a new website they are launching next month.

✨Adding a new holiday sales page to a previous Done in a Day client website

This week I'll be taking things a little slower, dedicating time to my own business and setting some 2024 goals. I’ve got a good feeling about next year 🔮

Coffee in the Winter Sun ☀️

This week has been a busy one!

✨ I worked exclusively with over a day and a half to build and launch their new website (it’s 😍)

✨Supported a retainer client with two website projects 🚀

✨Booked in my last half day for 2023, and my 2nd full day for January!

In January I worked with Sarah Wahiba Senan - Sarah is a US-based life coach who works with individuals, businesses and provides coaching for coaches.

Sarah wanted to rebuild her website from scratch. She felt that her existing website had not evolved with her business and now felt outdated, so it was time for a revamp!

In addition to updating the website content (text, images, services, blogs etc), Sarah also wanted to update her branding which included the colour palette and font family.

𝕋𝕙𝕖 ℙ𝕣𝕠𝕔𝕖𝕤𝕤
We kicked off the project with the home page and nailed down the overall design of the website including feature sections, and overall look and feel including the new and improved branding elements. Once the home page had been approved and signed off, the interior pages of the website were built out so Sarah could see how the website flowed as a whole. From here we could see where content needed to be tweaked, and design revisions made. Active Campaign was integrated and customised so the mailing list sign-up blocks look seamless, and throughout the last week of the project final touches were made which included transferring the associated domains over from the old website to the new version.

Sarah had originally found the thought of redesigning her website overwhelming, but at the end of our 4-week project said “Ruth, you made it so easy to go through the process. You listened to what I shared and applied it. Further, your speed is unmatched!”

🌻 Spring Clean 🌻

Today I’m giving my website a little freshen-up. This includes:

∙ Updating my portfolio
∙ Refreshing my blog posts (checking all links still work and content is relevant)
∙ Having a general check over and tidy-up of all pages

Websites don’t need to be maintained on the daily, but it’s important to give them the once over every now and then to ensure your viewers are receiving the most up-to-date info on your services, events, products etc, and also to avoid looking like your business has gone dormant.
