I’m honestly a bit blown away by this. To be named in the Top 100 Influential People for 2026, alongside people I’ve long respected and learned from, is deeply humbling.

I don’t take recognition like this lightly. The work I’m involved in across marketing and AI has always been about curiosity, responsibility, and trying to do things the right way, even when the pace of change makes that hard.

This really belongs to the teams, clients, partners and friends who’ve trusted me, challenged me and walked the journey with me. None of this happens in isolation.

Thank you to the independent judges for the recognition, to all at Iconic Digital and to everyone who continues to push these conversations forward. I’m genuinely honoured and more motivated than ever for what’s ahead in 2026.

Steve Pailthorpe is recognised as the UK’s leading authority in marketing with Artificial Intelligence. He is the founder and CEO of Iconic Digital, London’s top digital marketing agency, as well as co-founder and president of the international Christian charity, Crown Global. His mantra is “T...

What an amazing team we have at Iconic Digital! From my family to yours, I wish you a wonderful year end break, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Hey there everyone just wanted to take the opportunity to wish a very Happy Christmas to those of you who are celebrating. As we head into 2026 here at Iconic Digital we've been having our Christmas party today, so we've been giving and exchanging gifts. As I look back over this last year, I'm genuinely grateful Iconic Digital continues to help businesses grow in this rapidly changing world.

As well as that, last month we launched stevepailthorpe.com, my personal brand, in a place where I share insights, ideas, podcasts and loads of free resources packed full of practical insights in terms of AI. So go check that one out.

Behind the scenes, we've been building a new platform, which we're really excited to be launching this year ahead, and it's called Iconic Intelligence. I believe it's going to be a game changer in how organisations use AI responsibly and effectively.

I've also had the privilege of stepping into the role of AI Ambassador for the Institute of Directors, and I've been put forward for several other roles with what I'm doing with my tech entrepreneurship.

All of that hold really lightly, but I just want to say thanks. I'm thankful to you, my followers, and to all of my friends and my customers for continuing to put your trust in us.

There's a lot coming up for next year for me. I know it's going to include our book launch in February as we launch our new scale up book for small business owners. As well as that, we've got four new AI platforms coming, plenty of opportunity to add lots of value.

So as we close this year, my hope and my prayer for you is that your year will be full of peace, full of clarity, and full of fresh vision for whatever you are building in your world. From my family to yours, may I just take this opportunity to wish you a wonderful year end break and a merry Christmas to you and a happy new year. I'll see you in 2026!

I recently attended an Institute of Directors’s webinar exploring the new Skills England “AI Skills for the UK Workforce” report, and it was an incredibly valuable session.

The insights shared highlight the scale of the UK’s AI skills gap and the urgent need for both businesses and policymakers to respond.

Thanks to, Jarmila Yu, for leading such an important conversation and for her thoughtful analysis.

For anyone wanting a deeper look at what this means for UK competitiveness, I’ve shared my full reflections in a new blog:

The Justice Secretary is proposing judge-only trials.
Most people don’t realise how serious this is.

Trial by jury isn’t a technical detail.
It’s one of our oldest protections — a safeguard dating back to Magna Carta.
Remove it in “some cases” and you change the balance of power forever.

This isn’t about politics.
It’s about protecting British freedom.

Watch the video and decide for yourself.
Some rights are worth defending.

I was pleased to speak on a panel at The British Academy this week as we marked the launch of ‘AI Skills for the UK Workforce’.

It was a thoughtful and necessary discussion about how SMEs, employers, and leaders can build practical AI capability across their organisations. Dr Nisreen Ameen from Royal Holloway, University of London delivered an excellent overview of the framework she authored, setting out the skills, behaviours and pathways that will shape the UK’s competitiveness in the coming years.

The event was delivered in partnership with colleagues at Skills England, and I was glad to contribute in my capacity as AI Ambassador for Institute of Directors with Jarmila Yu.

It’s clear that AI adoption is no longer a technical question but a leadership question. This event reinforced the need for practical guidance that helps employers move from experimentation to confident implementation.

Thank you to The British Academy for hosting an impactful session, and to all the speakers and participants who are helping drive the national conversation forward.
