Eduard Benedictus, who is the inventor of unbreakable glass, made his discovery in 1903. Coincidence helped him in this. A chemist dropped a flask filled with nitrocellulose on the floor. As a result, the glass cracked, and there were no small fragments. Eduard understood what was the matter, and now modern types of windshields are manufactured in factories according to a similar principle to minimize the number of victims during road accidents.
