Before we wrap up for the year and celebrate the festive season, here are a few words from our Group CEO Thomas Laranjo, reflecting on the achievements of 2024 and hopes for the year ahead...
What a year 2024 has been! The acquisition of our agency by our wonderful new colleagues at Serviceplan group, the continued growth of all our UK businesses, welcoming a range of brilliant new brands to our group and working with our clients, media owners and technology partners to deliver award-winning and effective work. It’s certainly been a full year!
To have delivered all this in the context of such a volatile climate and amidst such a rapidly changing industry is down to one thing and one thing alone, brilliant people. Call me biased but we have the kindest, most talented teams, work with the best clients and have the most supportive and innovative media partners. The empathy, wit, resilience, talent, commitment and energy that everyone connected to our organisation brings each day, fills me with huge pride and sees us enter 2025 full of confidence and excited about the year ahead.
2024 has not been easy and in an era of perma-crisis, 2025 looks set to bring fresh challenges for us all. My prediction for the year ahead is we will thrive amidst these changes as long as we remember that our superior point of difference has and always will be our people. At a time when there is a blizzard of content, rightly full of optimism about the role of AI in our industry, we know it is our people who will turn optimism into tangible, exciting solutions that evolve the way we work and make a real difference to our client partners.
