Most aftermarket brands are doing everything "right" on YouTube.

Keyword research. Optimised titles. Every long-form video chopped into ten short clips for "promotion."

And they're still stuck - because every one of those moves hands the outcome to the algorithm. You end up hoping for demand instead of creating it. For a business that needs to forecast revenue, hope isn't a strategy.

The brands that actually break out do one thing differently: they stop promoting in isolation and build a deliberate bridge between the audience they already have and the channel they're trying to grow.

In this one I break the whole method down - including how we took one client's video from 16,000 to 20,000 views without spending a penny on ads.

Worth 6 minutes if growth has felt like guesswork.

Most aftermarket videos are made for the wrong person: the brand.

They're about us.

Our product, our features, our latest news.

And viewers can feel it instantly, so they leave. Which is fatal now, because retention is everything.

YouTube only pushes what holds attention, and it won't serve a video people click away from.

The videos that win are built for the viewer, not the brand.

They earn the click, hold interest, and actually teach something useful.

Get that right, and YouTube becomes one of the biggest drivers you have.

It's key for traffic, sales, and increasingly the source AI tools pull from and cite when someone asks about your space.

"Map your content to the buyer journey."

"Speak to where they are in the funnel."

Great.

But what do you actually build?

That's where most marketers get stuck.

There's no shortage of strategy advice in marketing.

What's missing is the tactics - the actual assets, in the actual order, that turn a post into revenue.

So here it is, concretely.

Ever notice how social always seems like the first channel on the chopping block when budgets get tighter?

It's because you can't defend what you can't measure.

And since the cookie died, most marketers genuinely can't. So when the finance director asks "what did social actually bring in?"...👀🦗👀🦗

Instead, stop trying to attribute everything. It doesn't work like that anymore.

Use the HALO framework instead.

Some days you write a post, and you can feel it's good.

Most days, you're just throwing something at the feed and hoping.

The problem with relying on inspiration is that it doesn't show up on schedule.

So your content may seem brilliant one week and forgettable the next, and you've got no idea why.

The fix is to stop relying on feeling inspired and start relying on a framework.

At Madre, we created one called SCOPE, and the point of it is that it works regardless of the topic, the mood you're in, or whether the muse turned up that morning.

It's been a game changer for us and our clients and now you can use it for reliable results from your social posts.

A mechanic Googles "best brake pads for a Transit", reads the answer at the top and closes the tab.

68% of Google searches now end without a click to an external website.

That means that the majority of your audience won't ever click through to your website.

Ranking position one used to be the prize. These days the prize is being the source the AI trusts enough to quote, because if your content is what fed that answer, you're already in that mechanic's head before they get anywhere near a parts counter.

Your content isn't bad. Your strategy is.

If you have the blank screen, the running out of ideas, the nagging sense it isn't working... those are symptoms.

The issue is that there's no marketing strategy underneath the posting.

So, every post is a one-off guess instead of a move inside a system.

Here's what changes when you fix that.

You stop marketing to the 5% who are ready to buy now and start building demand in the 95% who aren't...yet.
You map your messaging to where people actually are in the buying journey.
You decide what each piece of content is for, not just what it says.

Suddenly, the ideas don't run out, because every customer pain, every stage, every objection is a strategic input.

This is the full marketing strategy we run for aftermarket brands - the one that's generated millions in revenue.

And now you can use it too.

Here's the free workbook so you can fill it out while watching along: https://v8crm.com/download-your-workbook-page?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=marketing_plan_vd

Most mechanics buy because someone they rate told them your product was worth having

That's why influencer marketing can be so important

HOWEVER, not all channels are created equally

Follower count is a vanity number

What you're really paying for is that person's reputation and engagement

A mechanic posting real jobs to another 4,000 mechanics will shift more than a channel with 80k subscribers that no one in the trade actually engages with

So, before you pay anyone - ask: would a garage owner take this person's word on the product we sell?

If no, the follower count doesn't matter anyway.

Anyone noticed that everyone's posts are sounding the same?

And you've definitely spoken to Daryl before and he doesn't talk like that!

The issue is, everyone's now using AI to write their posts. Which will make you sound identical to everyone else.

AI just used the next more probable word - and who wants "the next probable post"?

Instead of using it to write the content, use it as an assistant to make your writing better.

I literally did it with the transcript of this video. Popped it into Claude, got the overview of the short and have now written this caption based on that.

The amount of times we’ve seen a campaign get engagement, comments, clicks or enquiries… and then the backend completely lets it down.

That was actually one of the biggest reasons we created V8 CRM.

Because when you start running social and search properly, you very quickly realise that the content is only one part of the system.

You can create a post that gets hundreds of comments.

You can get people asking for the link.

You can get website enquiries.

You can get people raising their hand and saying they’re interested.

But then what?

Someone has to reply.
Someone has to send the link.
Someone has to follow up.
Someone has to make sure the lead doesn’t sit in an inbox for half a day.

And in a lot of aftermarket businesses, that part is either manual, slow, or sitting across too many different platforms.

So with V8 CRM, we wanted to build the backend engine that actually supports the campaigns we run.

The landing pages.
The automations.
The social DMs.
The comment replies.
The sales pipelines.
The follow-up emails.
The tasks for the sales team.

All of the bits that make sure when someone engages with your marketing, they are actually moved into the next step.

Because there is no point getting the attention if the system behind it cannot handle the lead.

That is what V8 CRM is built for.

Helping aftermarket brands turn social and search activity into leads, conversations and revenue.
