Reminder: is for all the seasons… ☀️ Even British ones.

New campaign from adds a yachting vibe to the British summertime with a yacht named Check Mate. All very elegant, all very not my usual experience of a UK summer!

Appreciate the style being filmed on 35mm for full nostalgic effect. Pans across sun lollies, retro sun decks, and the kind of seaside glamour that makes you forget the seagull trauma, that I had with my youth in summers in Blackpool. (I hate birds)

Still love seeing boating as part of a cultural moment. Less tabloid scandal, more timeless chic hopefully this summer!

-designed Scout is still one of my favourite yachts of all time…🌊

The number of superyachts I can afford is still zero, but if I could—this would be on the list. Might even rename her after my dog Frida, as she’s currently named after her owner’s dog.

“The owner’s brief called for a rugged explorer-style yacht, intended to look like a conversion from a commercial vessel,” said H2’s Jonny Horsfield. The interior is a mix of Bond lair and futuristic explorer, with a hint of Jeff Koons (my take, not a professional description). Sadly, I’ve never been onboard, so I can only judge from photos.

This footage was shot by my favourite drone pilots of the seas in the UK.
Fun fact: one of the few who can actually fly a drone on the Thames!
