Christmas is fast approaching. For many of us it’s a time to give gifts, eat delicious food, over-indulge, and celebrate. This Christmas – perhaps more so than previous years – people who are less fortunate than us will face incredible hardship over the festive season.
This month, and are taking part in our very own in support of The Passage To Ending Homelessness]] a charity based in Victoria which provides accommodation, community and support services to people who have experienced or are at risk of becoming homeless.
With housing costs becoming harder to manager, The Passage To Ending Homelessness]] has already seen an increase of 16% in the number of people coming to its doors for help – that’s far too many people being forced into homelessness.
For the first 12 working days in December, our staff will be donating 12 items including towels, hats, water bottles, shaving sets, pre-paid oyster cards etc to people that might need them.
In addition to these essential items, what The Passage To Ending Homelessness]] needs most this winter is financial support. The Passage launched on 29th November and runs until tomorrow (6th December). During that time, every donation made to The Passage will be doubled with matched-funding.
