If you’ve ever felt like some outfits just don’t quite work - even when the pieces themselves are good - it’s often not as simple as needing something new.

What I see quite often is people trying to apply colour rules that don’t fully translate to them.

You might recognise yourself in a palette, or follow a system, but something still feels slightly off in practice. A big part of that comes down to how you actually feel in certain colours.

Some colours make you feel clear, comfortable, and like yourself. Others can feel slightly disconnected, even if they’re technically “right” on paper. That’s usually not a colour problem - it’s a clarity problem.

Understanding how colour works for you - both visually and in how it feels to wear - is what makes the difference.

Backstage at the Natural History Museum…

In 2018, I worked on the Fashion for Conservation runway as part of the Whitley Fund for Nature Hope Gala - a fundraising event bringing together fashion, conservation and Sir David Attenborough as a special guest on stage.

The runway show featured Deborah Milner and Amy Powney for Mother of Pearl, with a backstage team including makeup designer Attracta Courtney and her team, using Weleda skincare.

I supported behind the scenes with styling and coordinating the models before the runway.

What stayed with me from this experience wasn’t just the scale of the event, but how much precision it takes to bring a show like this together - across people, timing and environment.
And how ahead of its time this event was - and that I was part of it.

It’s also a reminder of how much talent exists within sustainable couture that doesn’t always get the visibility it deserves. Deborah Milner’s work is a perfect example of that.

Thank you to .j.holmes and the team for the opportunity

If you've been wondering who the Style Synopsis is for...

It’s for women who feel like they’ve outgrown what they’re wearing, but can’t quite see what comes next.

Most of the time, everything else in life is working. Career, lifestyle, responsibilities - all of that has moved forward.

But the wardrobe hasn’t quite caught up.

So things still technically “work”, but not in a way that feels fully right anymore. It’s subtle, but it’s there.

What I see quite often is that people try to fix that by buying something new, when actually the issue is a lack of clarity around what works for them now.

That’s the point where this becomes useful. We put strategy ahead of impulse purchasing so you move forward with intention.

It’s not about adding more. It’s about understanding what fits your life now, what doesn’t, and how everything comes together in a way that feels considered and easy.

The Style Synopsis is not for someone who just wants to book personal shopping and top up their wardrobe with the latest trends.

It’s for the woman who wants clarity on who she is now, and how she wants to dress moving forward.

That’s where we start.

I ended up in A&E recently with a shoulder injury, and it forced me to slow down a bit.

What struck me was how easy it is to just adapt to something even when the 'ni**le is there' we know that isn’t quite right...

Instead of actually addressing it, we see how long we can put up with things - until something 'breaks' inside you.

I see this a lot in wardrobes too. So many women I speak to don’t need more clothes, they just need clarity on what’s working and what isn’t anymore. Often it's about taking some time to connect to yourself - ask what do I need? Who am I now?

So for the next few weeks, while I recover, I’m working remotely with a small number of clients on style clarity and wardrobe edit sessions.

If you’ve been feeling a bit stuck with your wardrobe, feel free to message me and I can talk you through it.

The VIP Colour Experience is a private, half-day colour analysis designed to bring clarity to your personal palette and wardrobe.

Through a comprehensive draping process, we explore tone, contrast and depth to identify the colours that harmonise with your natural colouring and support the way you want to show up in the world.

When the right tones are working for you, your wardrobe feels more cohesive, getting dressed becomes easier, and shopping becomes more focused.

This experience is ideal if your wardrobe feels visually inconsistent, you want more confidence choosing colours, or you’re refining your personal style in a new chapter professionally or personally.

Now Available in Maida Vale, working across West London including Notting Hill, Paddington and Marylebone.

"If you’re ready for change but struggling to bridge the gap between who you are now and who you want to become, that’s where I come in. I help my clients uncover all the hidden markers that share countless clues about how they dress and why.

We are so quick to jump to the future and execute our next goals, we forget to look back and see how far we've come. And very often we don't even realise we've outgrown our wardrobes - until it's too late.

That’s what led me to create my IMPACT Sustainable Styling Framework – a blend of sustainable styling, coaching, mindset work and purpose-led wardrobe building"

I’m now back living in London. And with that, I’ve opened a small number of private client spaces this month.

This is for women who are ready to elevate how they show up — through a wardrobe that reflects who they are now, and where they’re going next.

You can begin with:

• A comprehensive styling experience
• VIP Colour Analysis — available in your home across London

I’ll be keeping this intake intentionally small.

If you’d like details, just message me “London” and I’ll personally reach out and we can get things started.

The Inspirational Women Series on the Roberta Style Lee podcast is returning.

And this time the conversations are deeper.

Over the past few months I’ve been reconnecting with remarkable women who appeared on the show before — reflecting on how their lives, identities and confidence have evolved over time.

We talk about leadership.
The mental load women quietly carry.
And the moments when you realise you’re entering a new chapter of your life.

For new guests, the conversations explore what it really takes to rise, redefine yourself and step into that next chapter with clarity and purpose.

Because style, identity and presence are often more connected than we realise.

The podcast originally launched in 2015. After an eight-year pause, it’s returning with a renewed focus — inspired by my own evolution and the work I now do with women navigating change, reinvention and identity.

New episodes will begin releasing in Spring 2026.

In the meantime you can catch up on Series 1 over at
robertastylelee.co.uk/podcast
or via SoundCloud and iTunes.

More soon.

When you use personal style as a strategic tool, you’re not being superficial – you’re reinforcing your evolution every time you get dressed.

Personal style isn’t superficial. Research consistently shows that the clothes we wear directly affect our psychology – a phenomenon known as enclothed cognition. Dressing with intention can sharpen your mindset, boost confidence, and influence how others perceive you, your leadership skills, competence, and energy.

Never underestimate the power of your wardrobe and the power of owning your style identity.

The power is yours to take. Why wait?

What if you could try on clothes… without getting undressed?

💾 SAVE FOR LATER & please share with your favourite sustainable brands!

It’s quite a long video!

Google’s new Try It On tool is a glimpse into the future of intentional shopping — and used well, it could transform how we discover our personal style and how independent sustainable brands get seen.

Working as a sustainable stylist — and as an ambassador for sustainable brands — I didn’t expect much from this tool in terms of helping over-consumption.

But after testing it, here’s what stood out…

✨ Visibility for sustainable brands could increase. Independent designers without big budgets finally have a fairer chance of being discovered.

✨ It could curb impulse buying.
I “tried on” a sparkly vintage dress I loved… and instantly knew it wasn’t me.

✨ It can support sustainable decision-making. Fewer mistakes. Fewer returns. More clarity.

📌Notes on using it:

• Take a really good fit photo wearing tight clothes that show off your body shape.
• Scroll past the sponsored links
• Click product images + look for the Try It On button
• Use detailed keywords (especially for sustainable or preloved pieces)
• It’s an inspiration tool, not a fit tool so try shapes that you know are likely to work well with your body’s proportions
• NB. Your photo stays private — it’s not stored

It’s designed to be social so you can share your looks with friends.

It works best when you know your colours, silhouette and Style DNA — that’s when you can truly see what aligns.

AI won’t replace your stylist.
But it will make expert guidance more valuable.
AI gives you options.
A stylist gives you clarity.

Will you ‘try it on’?

Please help amplify small business and sustainable brands by posting your try it on pictures (tag me for a repost!)

Thanks to for letting me explore the tool ahead of release.
