For my Lord of the Rings obsessed sisters, leaves of Lórien. The reason I've had nothing to post on here for a while, is because I've slowly been working on these elven brooches for my sisters Christmas presents! I've also made one for myself (well, half made, I'll finish mine soon!) Lord of the Rings was such a huge part of our childhoods and has been our biggest mutual obsession throughout our lives, I'm so glad to have finished these in time for Christmas! 🌿🧝‍♀️🎄✨️ now if only we could magic ourselves into Middle-Earth to go on a magical adventure! ✨️

Hi, It's been a while! 👋 This summer has been really busy, and I've been juggling a lot of different things (lovely, exciting things) but it's still been a lot! I'm trying to accept that my creativity ebbs and flows, I can't be in a constant state of productive creativity and that's okay! Recently I've been getting back to basics, trying to connect more and more with my inner child. I'm making art for fun, and not worrying about whether it looks "good" or "bad". It's been the best thing I've done for myself creatively in a really long time! I've been focusing a lot on my witchcraft, tarot, learning astrology, dog walking, and spending time with family. I'm very lucky! Just a bit overwhelmed and trying to get all the different pieces of my life to coexist peacefully. 😌✨️ so, here's me, surrounded by my fun little crayon doodles! I'll post again here when I feel called to, until then, look after yourself, get some rest, and thank you for reading this far! 🍂🥰✨️

Love Bugs part 2 🐌🍄🌿

Last year in October, I doodled this amanita snail in my sketch book. I decided to make it into an embroidery as a part of the Love Bugs series because I want to show people how I see these magical creatures we share the earth with! So many people either hate or fear bugs, but we are so lucky to have them, and without them, the whole eco system would suffer!

✨️🐌 Snail Facts 🐌✨️

Did you know that snails are born with their shells and they grow with them for their entire lives? Also, snails are pollinators! 🌼 The pollen sticks to their shells and bodies, and they move the pollen slowly from one plant to another! 🐌🍄🌿

"Love Bugs" 🐛🕷🪱🍄🌿✨️

I wanted to make a piece that celebrates the beauty of all creatures, especially those typically seen as less "loveable." We share a planet with them. They have their own purpose here on earth, too. Let's all learn to love bugs. ❤️

I really enjoyed making this piece. I didn't have anything mapped out before I started it. I wanted to just add things as I went along. Sometimes, it's easier to just start something and visualise where it's going as it's being made. Watching it all unfold and come together before I know what it's becoming makes the whole process much more exciting! ✨️

This piece took many hours, I wish I knew how many, but I lost track! Working with single thread and creating so many French knots is very time-consuming! 😅
