TOBE-Heartsafe www.tobe-heartsafe.org.uk is delighted to join medical experts, teachers and pupils at Barts Health NHS Trust in London this Thursday showcasing the many roles needed across healthcare as part of Healthcare Science Week (March 9–15, 2026).

Its specialist cardiac nurses Clare and Lucia, alongside Kerry Milliken talked about Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS) and the importance of cardiac screenings and basic life support training. Showing students and teachers how to perform CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and the use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) basic life support training is a vital part of the TOBE-Heartsafe programme.

It was wonderful to see so many in the newly re-opened Great Hall inspiring future generations in science and healthcare.

We look forward to working with some of the teachers and students and running our training programmes so that more people learn basic life saving skills.
