We did it! 🥳

Over April, we embarked on an epic challenge to cover 4,537 miles, the distance between two of our offices – one in London, UK and one in Pune, India.

This challenge was part of our 2024 Positivity Project, aiming to promote digital wellness and support organisations dedicated to combatting the negative impacts of social media and using tech for good. A particularly relevant topic, given that last week was Mental Health Awareness Week.

From bike rides to litter picking to morning runs, there have been incredible efforts from everyone. Not only did we absolutely smash our target by covering a whopping 5,205 miles, but we also raised some serious money for three amazing charities.

We’re nearing the finish line of our epic April challenge, where we’ve pushed ourselves to walk, run, cycle or swim the distance between two of our offices – one in London, UK and one in Pune, India.

That’s 52 of us each doing 91 miles, or 146km, in just 30 days.

30 days, 52 people, 4,537 miles. Bring it on! 👊

This April, OLS is taking on the epic challenge of walking, running, cycling or swimming the distance between our two offices in London, UK and Pune, India.

That’s 52 of us each doing 87 miles, or 140km, in just 30 days.

Part of our 2024 Positivity Project, this challenge will encourage self-care within our team, while supporting organisations that help people negatively affected by social media - and those that use tech for good.

We’re aiming to raise £4,537 to share between three amazing charities - find out more on our JustGiving page.

👀 Want to see how adopting TikTok trends allows you to widen reach and increase conversions? See how we did exactly that for Bay’s Kitchen’s stir-in sauces.

‼️ A challenge to ourselves

✅ Increase reach beyond the client’s core community of IBS sufferers or those with specific dietary needs
✅ Identify a TikTok trend that authentically aligns with the brands values and product

💥 What we did

✅ Commissioned top food content creators to provide a package of two hero videos as well as iterative versions to avoid creative fatigue
✅ Developed an out of the box concept tapping into the TikTok trend for ‘dupes’ - trending content for affordable alternatives

🙌 The result… a higher than expected uplift in traffic to the website plus sales directly attributed to this campaign! The TikTok trend-led concept delivered twice the sales as the core audience approach, which shows that it pays off to know your TikTok trends.

As part of Visit California’s ‘All Dreams Welcome’ campaign, and to mark Pride Month, we created an ad to drive home the message that California welcomes any and all who dream big.

❌ The main challenge: creating a high-impact video ad using only static photography and the direction to include a moving Pride flag. Stock options were limited and didn’t offer the flexibility to fully deliver on our concept, so Senior Designer Lee opted to create the perfect flag in Blender.

✅ The result: The process of modelling, animating and mapping on the rainbow design resulted in the perfect final flag, upgrading the static photography into a dynamic video. Going the extra mile for this single element of the creative amplified the final result, and delivered that show-stopping moment for the brand. 🏳️‍🌈

All of this, within a deadline of just a few days. We loved the challenge, and the chance to flex our 3D design muscles. 💪

Way back in January we started a Food Fight that’s still going strong. 🍅🥦

No food waste involved! The opposite actually - it’s our initiative to support causes dedicated to alleviating food poverty.

As part of our Food Fight, every month we donate a food parcel to our local food bank in Covent Garden. These food parcels are filled with essential items like these, which we all raid our cupboards for and bring into the office throughout the month.
