Gain their trust, gain their business! 💥
By showing the authenticity of your brand, the trust that results will increase receptivity to your marketing plan, converting your client into a customer. And that's exactly what we want!
Authenticity requires vulnerability, transparency and integrity. It takes courage, as a small business owner, to be yourself on social media. I get it. We all want this 'picture-perfect' online persona. The problem with this is that consumers are actively looking for your flaws. They want to know each and every mistake you've made so they can call you out on it quicker than Daily Mail.
Instead of becoming anxious or worried about how to show the *real* side of your business, here are some productive ways you can build trust on Instagram:
⚡️ Introduce your audience to the people who make your company run on a daily basis.
⚡️ Use UGC (user-generated content; see a few posts back) to show how current consumers use and benefit from your products or services.
⚡️ Demonstrate the real, tense moments that make you and your team tick. Was there a hiccup that's caused some drama this week? Share it! Did you lose a client/customer? Talk about it!
Traditional marketing would tell you to only share the good bits. But in 2022, we want to know it all. The more open you are with your audience, the more you'll gain their trust and eventually, business.
