Royal Ascot Package 2026

Royal Ascot was so beloved by Queen Elizabeth II.
This year again in June, I will accompany you to the Royal Enclosure, where all the ladies and gents dress up so fabulously in their top hats and glamorous attire.

In honour of British history and tradition that has been passed down for over 300 years, we will not only honour them within the grounds, but also on the way to Ascot Racecourse, by adding the option to ride on a horse-drawn carriage to attend Royal Ascot.

We hope you will experience with us the true solemn yet heartwarming essence of Britain.

Beauty touches our hearts, in any way, shape or form. It surely touched mine when I went to see Matthew Bourne’s “Swan Lake”.
I saw it before at Sadler’s Wells over 20 years ago, but this time, it was even more amazing, being able to watch the brilliant performance at a theatre only a 10 minute walk from home.

美しいものに触れると、それが何であっても、心が豊かになりますね。
マシュー・ボーンの「白鳥の湖」、20年以上も前に観た時ももちろん感動したけど、今回の会場は、自宅から徒歩10分の地元の劇場だったから、さらに感激。

今年もロイヤルアスコットへ❣️

＝ロイヤルアスコットの前日＝

レンタル衣装を手配していたトップハットにモーニングスーツ一式を受け取りに。
寸法やお好みの色や素材を事前に伺っていても、実際試着してみないと、なかなかピッタリ来ないものなんです。
例年大きすぎたり、長すぎたり。
今回はきつめ。体に合ったものに差し替えたら、一気にハンサム度がアップ⬆️

その後、日本から参加される皆さまとロンドン最古のレストラン、ルールズでウェルカムディナー。
創業1798年。ローストビーフが美味しくて有名です。
英国料理は美味しくない、と昔は言われていたけれど、ローストビーフはもちろん、スモークサーモンやニューポテトも美味しい！と皆さん、感激。

お隣りのテーブルは映画『００７スペクター」を撮影したテーブルでした。

ヴィクトリア女王の息子、英国王エドワード７世が愛人、リリー・ラングトリーと密会していたテーブルもあり。日本では考えられないかな？
二人用のステンドグラスのドアがあったり。
二人が座っていたテーブルで、私たちもカクテルをいただきました。

「オリバー・ツイスト」で知られる英作家、チャールズ・ディケンズも常連で、よく飲んでいたテーブルに、私たちも座ってみました！

すっかりリラックスした時間を過ごすことができました。

予約いただいていた競馬レースでかぶる女性用のお帽子もお渡しできて一安心。
翌日は待ちになったロイヤルアスコット。
ロイヤルエンクロージャーでの１日が楽しみです！

We attended Royal Ascot again this year❣️
=Day before the big day=

My client and I went to collect the top hat and morning suit that I organised to rent.
I ask my clients in advance for their measurements, preferred colour and material, but every year, we often find they are either slightly too big or too long. With this client this year, it was a bit tight. After replacing them with something that fitted him, what a difference it made. In an instant, he looked so dashing!

Later on, we had welcome dinner with clients who flew in from Japan at Rules, the oldest restaurant in London. Established in 1798, it has been loved by various people, including the royals, politicians, writers and celebrities.

As expected, their roast beef was to die for. To be honest, British weren’t known for their food, but that is all in the past. Everyone was so impressed with how good roast beef was, and even raved about smoked salmon and new potatoes too!

Our table was located next to the table that the movie "Spectre" was filmed.

There was also the table where King Edward VII, son of Queen Victoria met with his mistress, Lillie Langtry. The stained glass door allowed them to enter discreetly. We sat at their table and enjoyed some cocktail.

Charles Dickens, the British author known for "Oliver Twist” was also a regular and we sat at the table where he often drank too.

It was such a lovely relaxing evening.

Having handed the hats for the ladies to wear at the races, we were ready to head to Royal Ascot the next day. Royal Enclosure, here we come!

When I last visited Japan, I bought some Chinese chive seeds and this is how it looks today in my little vegetable trough. I wanted to grow them myself as it’s not easy to find them in grocery shops in London.

The other reason was because when my dad got badly burnt when the atomic bomb was dropped on 6 August 1945, his white blood cells dropped to 2,100. Apparently it should be 4,500 to 11,000WBC. In order to increase them, he was forced to eat Chinese chives 3 times a day every single day which eventually worked.

I hope we all get to enjoy Chinese chives because it tastes good and not out of necessity.

Wishing for a world where war is not an option🍀

この春、一時帰国した時、ニラの種を買ってきました。野菜栽培は初めてですが、やっとここまで育ってくれました。ロンドンのスーパーではなかなかニラは売っていないので、それなら自分で育ててみようと思い立ちました。

もうひとつの理由は、1945年8月6日、父は広場の原爆にあい大火傷をしました。白血球は本来なら4500-11,000あるべきなのに、2100まで下がってしまいました。そこでニラを強制的に毎日三食食べ続け、次第に平常のレベルまで回復することができました。

ニラは強制的に食べないといけないのではなく、美味しいから食べたいですね。

戦争のない世界を心から願うばかりです。🍀
