Animade Making the world more characterful.

13/08/2026

Huge news! After 16 characterful years, Animade has laid its last keyframe.

The spirit of Animade lives on. The team will be creating pixels packed with personality as part of Duolingo’s Design Studio.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of, and contributed to, the Animade story. We’ve loved creating, teaching and engaging with the amazing people in our community and we intend to continue doing this as we bounce into this new exciting chapter with this wonderful group of humans.

For the how’s, why’s and “what-the-hecks” follow the linK in our bio
