Thirty years of helping businesses to grow means I can usually spot what’s not working pretty fast.

When someone comes to me saying “I keep posting and nothing’s happening” — I get it. It’s frustrating.

But nine times out of ten it’s not about just posting more. It’s about something more fundamental. Are the right people seeing you? Do they trust you? Can they even tell what you do and who it’s for?

That’s where I always start. And that’s what this carousel walks you through.
Save it, look at your own feed honestly, and pick the one thing that needs the most work. Start there.

If you want some expert help and direction then just visit the link in my bio. 😊

Almost every business I work with is sitting on something genuinely special that they’re barely mentioning.

The 20 years experience buried in line four of their bio. The result they consistently get for clients that they’re too modest to lead with. That all their goods are handmade. That the food they serve is organic. The thing that makes them the obvious choice but they’ve somehow glossed over it.

I don’t know why we do it. Modesty maybe. Or we’ve been doing it so long it just feels normal. But the thing you’re most likely to gloss over is almost always the thing a stranger most needs to hear to make them feel good about buying from you.

If you’re not sure what yours is, start here.
Ask yourself these three questions:
1️⃣ Why do people choose to buy from me?
2️⃣ What is the common theme in my feedback?
3️⃣ What is the one thing I’m really proud of about my business?

The answer is almost always sitting in those three questions. So what’s the thing you’re underselling? I bet there is one.

If you want help finding it, that’s exactly what we start with in a Business Breakthrough Hour, Link in bio 😊

You’ve probably heard this advice a million times, but the reason it matters is simple.

When you understand who your audience are, it gets much easier to promote your business and get it in front of the right people without wasting your time and money.

If you run a café selling organic food, your audience is more likely to be people who care about what they eat, where it comes from and the environment. Once you know that, it helps you work out what to post, who to collaborate with and where to focus your efforts.

If you’re stuck, give me a shout and let’s book a Business Breakthrough Hour and solve it together.

20/04/2026

One common theme in the last few Business Breakthrough Hours I’ve done with clients is this: the owner loves their business and wants it to grow, but when it comes to putting themselves out there or actually shouting about what they do, they really do not want to do it.

And honestly, I get it.

But the hard truth is that no one else is going to grow your business for you.
You can have something brilliant. You can be great at what you do. You can care deeply about your customers. But if you keep hiding, worrying about what everyone will think or waiting to feel ready, it makes growth much harder than it needs to be.

You deserve to have a thriving, successful business but only you can make it happen.

Most business owners overcomplicate growth. Really, it comes down to 2 things.
1 How you get people who’ve already bought from you to buy more.
2 How you reach people who’ve never bought from you before.

Those are two very different jobs, which means they need two different strategies.

Start with your existing customers. They’re already warm. They know you, they trust you, and it’s usually much easier and cheaper to sell more to people who’ve already bought from you than to keep chasing brand new customers.

Ask yourself: what else could I offer them? How could I get them to come back more often? What would make it easier for them to buy again?

Then, once that’s working, move on to step 2.

I’ve been doing this for almost 30 years, if you want help creating a clear growth plan for your business whether you are just starting out really established, get in touch and let’s get you growing. 📈

Fed up with putting all your efforts into the business but still not getting bookings or orders? Try this…

This is a very simple audit, it’s a good place to start if you’re trying to work out what’s actually holding things back.

Do people want what you sell?
Do they get it?
Can they find it?
Can they buy it easily?
And if they land on your socials or website today, would they actually feel confident enough to choose you?

You can be showing up, posting, trying, doing all the things, but if the offer isn’t clear, the message isn’t getting through, or there’s nothing helping people trust you, then all that effort won’t turn into sales.

This is really key when people are buying your expertise with a one-to-one service. They need to feel comfortable enough with you before they take the next step.

Find some time to run through the steps and find out where the gaps are then put your effort into sorting those bits first.

This isn’t the whole answer, but it’s a good place to start if you’re fed up with guessing.

As always dm me if you want help or advice.

Feeling overwhelmed by marketing? Here’s why you need to focus on one thing at a time.

Great results are much more achievable when everything is joined up. Your ads, emails, socials, message and offer should all be pushing the same thing, not dragging people in different directions. Then your marketing becomes easier to understand and a lot easier for people to buy from. Simple repetition with a strong offer goes a long way.

There’s so much coming up in the next quarter, from Father’s Day to the Easter holidays and other seasonal moments, so it is the perfect time to run a campaign for your business.

Comment PLAN and I’ll send you my free campaign planner.

This is your sign to keep going!

The job of your marketing is to keep your business front of mind with the right people, so that when the moment comes that they are ready to buy, booking you or buying from you feels like the obvious next step.

That’s why consistency matters. It keeps your business visible, familiar and easy to remember.

So keep showing up, even when it feels like nothing is happening, because being remembered is half the battle.

Finding time for marketing as a business owner can feel impossible. But if you had just 30 minutes a day, you could still make a real difference if you spent it in the right places.

One of the simplest ways to focus your marketing and boost sales is to run a mini campaign for a week, two weeks or even a month.

First, pick one clear offer to focus on and give people a reason to buy now, whether that’s a discount, an added bonus or a limited-time offer.

Day one, get clear on the offer. What is it, who is it for and why should someone buy it?

Day two, update Instagram so the offer is in your bio, stories and links.

Day three, make sure your website has that offer front and centre and that it’s blindingly obvious how to buy.

Day four, put a simple way in place to start collecting email addresses.

Day five, plan the posts, stories and emails you’ll use the following week, then run the campaign.

I’ve run hundreds of campaigns and I know this works. It’s about making it really easy for the right people to find you and buy from you, and you can absolutely start setting that up in 30 minutes a day.

Comment ‘plan’ and I’ll send you the simple campaign planner I use to map it all out.😊

If you’re so overwhelmed by all the advice that you dread posting, this is for you.

One of the worst things social media advice has done to business owners is convince them the goal is virality, and that it only comes from the perfect hook, professional editing and being endlessly entertaining.

Of course those things can help. But the truth is you’re not trying to go viral. You’re trying to be visible.

What actually holds most businesses back isn’t the quality of their content, it’s the fact that they’re invisible. If you’re posting at all, you’re already ahead of a huge number of businesses who are still overthinking it and waiting for everything to be perfect.

You’re not trying to become an influencer. You’re trying to get your business seen by the right people and make sales. And that starts with simply showing up, because people can’t buy from a business they never see.

So post the reel, stop stressing about the likes, and start getting your business found.

If you want straightforward, unfiltered marketing advice, tap follow.😊

If you’re looking for a reason to keep posting about your business, here it is.

If your business is invisible, people can’t buy from you.

The people who will eventually pay you aren’t always double-tapping.

They’re watching.
They’re figuring out if you actually understand their problem.
They’re deciding whether you’re the expert they’d trust with their money.

If you panic and change direction every time something doesn’t “perform”, you interrupt that process.

Stay visible. Stay steady. Let people build confidence in you.

And if you feel like you’re showing up but still not converting, that’s exactly what my Get Unstuck Clinic is for. We look at what’s actually blocking sales and fix it.

Apply via the link in my bio or comment ‘unstuck’ and I’ll send the details.

Mother’s Day isn’t just a “nice to have” on the calendar. It’s one of those moments where a huge chunk of people are actively looking for an answer, what to buy, where to book, what to do. That’s why it can be an amazing sales opportunity.

UK spend is forecast at around £2.4bn this year, so why shouldn’t a chunk of that be yours?

The best way to make your business visible between now and Mother’s Day is to run a campaign, the sooner the better. It gets your offer in front of the right people, makes it obvious what you’re selling, and gives them a clear reason to buy or book before it ends.

That’s how you bring in sales, instead of putting up one post and hoping for the best.

I’ve created a 7-Day Sales Planner (perfect for Mother’s Day and reusable all year) to help you do exactly that.

Just comment ‘Mum’ and I’ll send it over.
