Denmark Street Sessions returns for a second year. The live performances, talks, pop-ups and art exhibitions all centred around music and culture – will erupt again along London’s famous music street. A place where Bowie became Stardust, The S*x Pistols once lived and where The Rolling Stones and Black Sabbath recorded their first albums. Rooted in legacy but playing for tomorrow, Sessions is a celebration of culture and creativity - with free entry to all venues.

Part street party, part open house, and a series of intimate live shows, Sessions sees stores, bars and venues throw open their doors for one full day and night of artistic expression – from daytime talks to midnight beats. Curated by the community and powered by a collective of like-minded creatives, Sessions is an illustration of the community on the iconic Denmark Street.

In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Notting Hill Carnival , Outernet  presents  ‘Ian Watts Carnival 60’showcasing some of his incredible photographic archive from decades of capturing London’s world famous event.
 
The exhibition features a collection of stunning photographs documenting the evolution of Europe’s largest street festival. Tracing the Carnival’s journey from the 1970s through to present day, celebrating the artistry, spectacular costumes, dynamic dancers, legendary music and the vibrant street life that has defined the Carnival across generations.
 
Designed by Federico Parodi and accompanied by a bespoke soundscape by Black Male Beats, the installation offers a unique audio-visual experience that honours six decades of resilience, creativity and community through the lens of one of Britain’s foremost documentary photographers.
 
The exhibition is now live and runs until Sept 2nd in the Now Building and is free for all, come and celebrate Carnival with us.
