What an incredible experience working with Silent Partners Studio on this Harry Styles Together Together tour.

I’ve worked on stadium visuals before, so the scale wasn’t new, but this was a completely different context as I know this was going to be showcased across massive venues across Amsterdam, London, Brazil, Mexico, US and Australia.

It was amazing to be part of the content team on a project of this scale. The stage setup itself was super different, as it had a massive runway screen paired with two main stage screens on either side.

As some of you may know, my work is normally typography focused so it was refreshing to work with just shapes and gradients for the song Are You Listening Yet?

Thanks to the SPS team for bringing me in and making this such a smooth project to work on!

Tottenham fans don’t worry, this isn’t me slating your club.

I just wanted to give my two cents as a designer.

When I worked on visuals for late last year it inspired me to see how other clubs design their stadiums screens.

When I look at the Spurs stadium, I feel like the branding on display seemed as if it was designed by multiple studios rather than one.

For me consistency is everything when it comes to design.

I remember when I worked with Anderlecht, I explored using secondary colours but was told to focus on two core colours to keep everything cohesive and recognisable and I feel like Spurs could implement this exact same system.

On the main external stadium screen, one thing that stood out to me is the use of geometric shapes which I feel doesn’t tie into the clubs identity. Personally I think if you introduce shapes or patterns into a system, there should be some relevance to the club, the kit or connect back to the history in some way.

I’m thinking of turning this into an ongoing series where I visit different stadiums and break down their visuals and branding.

Let me know what you think and looking forward to visiting the stadium on October 17th as a Coventry City fan!
