Every corner of Jamtara Wilderness Camp-Pench National Park is thoughtfully designed to leave the lightest footprint on nature while celebrating timeless craftsmanship. From solid dining tables crafted out of reclaimed mango wood logs to striking blue flooring salvaged from old schools and government buildings in Central India - each element carries a story of its own.
Step inside and you’ll discover a beautiful blend of history and design: 70s art deco furniture once used in Delhi embassies, desks from the Supreme Court, wooden floors repurposed from ship decks, and dining chairs sourced from old forest rest houses. Even the sofas have a past - once part of a ship captain’s library. It’s a seamless fusion of sustainability and art.
Every May, the camp gently disappears -tents are taken down, floors are lifted, and everything is carefully stored within the only permanent structure. As the monsoon arrives, nature reclaims its space - streams flow, wildlife returns, and the land breathes freely once again.
By late September, the camp rises anew - ready to welcome guests, without ever taking more than it gives.
