Happy Pride month! This year, after 2 years of lockdown, not only can we actually get out and celebrate, we're celebrating 50 years of UK Pride!

While much progress has been made since the first ever parade in 1972, there is still a long way to go, and this year's return to the parade's historic route will be a march towards further progress. How will you be celebrating this 50 year anniversary?

Today is National Love a Tree Day! Did you know trees actually didn’t exist for the first 90% of Earth’s history? Now of course, they play an essential part in the functioning of our planet.

Many businesses offset their emissions by planting trees, but as a truly sustainable organisation, we want to make sure that we don't just offset the carbon we use, but actually do something to remove it from the atmosphere. It was researching this that led our MD, Tom, to come up with our 'carbon syncing' plan for regenerative business, which includes carbon credits projects, UK tree planting with Trees For Life and international tree planting with Eden Reforestation Projects.

To date, we've planted 44,732 trees! 🌳🌳🌲🌲🌳

When we first launched WebsiteCarbon.com it stood on its own as a tool for calculating the energy and carbon emissions of websites, but over the past few years, a growing number of imitations have sprung up.

The proliferation of variations has started to become confusing and increasingly opens up the risk of greenwashing in our industry. So, to ensure that V3, which launches today, for Earth Day, has a more standardised approach, we collaborated with US based green web pioneers , environmental consultant Rym Baouendi, web performance and environmental app EcoPing and The Green Web Foundation.
