The Brackendale Consulting Ltd team began our festive celebrations in a beautiful Coppa Club - Tower Bridge igloo last night, complete with pretend snow!

It has been an eventful year here at Brackendale with our move into a bigger office at Argyll's Nova North building in London Victoria, two new team members Jack Sheppard and Fabio Galloni-Roversi Monaco joining us, winning at the Real Deals Growing Business Awards and attending various private equity conferences across Europe. It was great to bring everyone together and celebrate all our hard work, unwind and have fun exchanging Secret Santa gifts.

We did it! Brackendale Consulting Ltd is thrilled to have been named Diversity & Inclusion Champion of the Year at the Real Deals Growing Business Awards.

Our CEO Fay Margo and COO Laura Shelley had the pleasure of collecting the award on behalf of the whole Brackendale team on stage last night, at the ceremony held at the Hilton London Bankside.

DEI is incredibly important to us – both within our own organisation and the private markets space we serve. We're proud to receive this recognition for not only creating an inclusive workplace at Brackendale, but also for our efforts to advance DEI in the private equity industry and challenge the status quo amidst an uncertain geopolitical backdrop.

This award reflects the collective effort of our hardworking team and our clients who support us in helping to shape a more equitable industry through the ESG reports we create, the content we write and the panels we lead.

Thank you to the judging panel and congratulations to all the other winners and finalists.

What a night! The Brackendale Consulting Team had a blast at the Real Deals Private Equity Awards last night at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London where we were shortlisted in the Diversity and Inclusion Leader of the Year category. We were honoured to be the only non-private equity fund finalist to be shortlisted for such a meaningful award!

This award celebrates the importance of building strong, diverse teams and the significant role this plays in achieving success and creating a positive workplace culture. When our CEO, Fay Margo, founded Brackendale in 2013, she made sure that diversity became a core value of the company. That commitment continues to resonate throughout every part of our business and our team who are overseen by 100% female leadership.

We’re incredibly proud of every team member for the dedication and hard work they put into delivering outstanding PR and Marketing results for our clients.

A big thank you to Real Deals Media for putting on such a fun event and to our PR client David Spickett, founding CEO of collectible car investment firm TheCarCrowd for joining us on the night.

Where is the equity in private equity? In her latest piece for Private Equity News, Brackendale's CEO Fay Margo considers the growing impact of corporate DEI rollbacks on private markets across both the USA and Europe.

Since Trump's return to the White House, the concept of MEI (Merit, Excellence, Intelligence) is increasingly being presented as an alternative to DEI. But this perspective implies that diversity and merit are mutually exclusive.

Fay highlights the data that has long supported the benefits of diverse teams within private equity - driven in part by LP expectation and the proven successes of diverse teams. She explores the broader implications of widespread rollbacks and whether European LP investors are giving in to pressure from across the pond or pushing back against this shift.

This International Women's Day, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the wonderful women who make up Brackendale Consulting Ltd! As a female-founded business with an all-female leadership team, we’re proud of the diverse environment we’ve built and the success we’ve achieved in supporting our private equity clients.

Our CEO, Fay Margo, founded Brackendale in 2013 as a one woman band after a successful career as a financial journalist, then IR Manager at a European private equity fund, bringing years of industry expertise. Joining her at the helm is Laura Shelley, our COO, who keeps our day-to-day operations running smoothly while nurturing client relationships.

Alesha Cheah, PR and Marketing Manager, oversees our private equity PR accounts, securing coverage for clients in the financial press. She also works her magic on investor pitch decks and ESG reports, supported by our tenacious recent hires, Daniella Okoli and Lara Hunt, who work closely with clients to deliver press campaigns, build media relationships and manage corporate LinkedIn pages.

Last, but by no means least, our talented graphic designers Catherine Schmitt Brookes and Lorna Bowern support the creation of private equity fundraising materials and social media visuals.

Brackendale’s Fay Margo moderated the panel "Fundraising: Capturing Growing Investor Appetite" yesterday at Private Equity Insights' Munich event at Hilton Munich Park.

She was joined by panellists Ralph Guenther from Pantheon, YIELCO Investments’ Dominik Bub and Johannes Wendt from Allianz Capital Partners who provided invaluable insight into LP expectations in terms of liquidity, value creation, IR capabilities, fees and more. The discussion delved into where LP allocations are going while investors wait for realisations, whether semi-liquid vehicles offer true liquidity and where first-time funds fit into the equation.

We always enjoy contributing to thought-provoking discussions and uncovering what is sparking LP interest in terms of strategies and geographies to invest in, particularly in a challenging fundraising environment.
