Getting traffic to your website and getting sales from your website are two completely different jobs.
A lot of small business websites are brilliant at attracting people in, then immediately leave them to fend for themselves; giving them no reason to take the next step.
Usually the problem isn’t that your offer is bad. It’s that your website assumes people already understand what you do, why it matters and what they should do next. Most visitors don’t. They’re busy, distracted and comparing you to twelve other tabs they’ve already opened.
A few things worth checking:
❓Can someone tell what you actually do within five seconds of landing on your homepage?
❓Are you talking about outcomes, or just listing services?
❓ Is your call to action obvious, or buried halfway down the page?
❓ Does your site make people feel confident you can help them, or are you relying on them to figure that out themselves?
❓ Are you giving people too many choices?
More traffic won’t fix a website that isn’t converting. It just means more people are leaving without taking action.
