I warned them…

I told the team Halloween was my favourite time of year.

And of course, that meant it had to become our clients’ favourite too.

We had a lot of fun bringing some spooky energy into client content this year. Here’s just one of the many campaigns we pulled off.

Gymshark are opening up a barbershop in London but there's a twist 👀

Haircuts are free and performed by barbers trained in mental health conversations 😱

Men are far less likely to open up than other genders but Gymshark discovered that they're more likely to open up while at the barber - and so this idea was born

A week dedicated to talking about men's mental health and giving them the chance to talk about their own while getting a free trim - sounds pretty therapeutic if you ask me! 💇‍♂️ Panels will be held for experts and influencers to openly discuss these topics and shed light on some otherwise overlooked parts of what it means to be a modern man

The shop will also be selling exclusive merch with all proceeds going to - a UK-based mental health charity that supports thousands of folk across the country

On Monday, our very own Joe Stallion teamed up with Bamboo Growth to present a brilliantly engaging workshop to a group of Plymouth-based businesses to help them develop Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) for new lead generation channels.

Meeting several new businesses and supporting them with revenue-generating strategies was definitely a highlight!

Could your landing page be turning away potential customers? 🤔

Your landing page is SO important to get right 🙌 First impressions are everything, so make sure you're making the best one possible!

Here are our top tips on how to write a killer landing page so you can convert those prospects into paying customers...

💪 Speak with conviction.

Let's be honest, you probably aren't the only solution. When someone visits your landing page, you want them to feel as if you know and understand the problem they are experiencing.

👏 Say what you mean!

There's no need to get poetic about it - sure it might sound nice, but what value does it provide? If people don't know what you offer with a quick read then it isn't worth it to them to explore further.

👩‍❤️‍👩 It's a speed date.

You have seconds to capture a visitor's attention and begin the journey of 'Know, Like & Trust'. During the precious seconds a prospect spends on your page, it's important to begin gaining their trust. Social proof, such as testimonials is a great place to start - extra points if they're companies they've heard of.

👔 It's not one-size-fits-all.

While generic copy might seem like the safest route to take, it'll do more harm than good! Know where your leads are coming from and cater to their specific desire or pain point. How did they end up on this landing page? Use that to inform your copy.

💬 Ask for feedback & test your ideas.

Write 10 possible titles. Ask for advice or feedback from existing customers, or your business network. Equally, you can run A/B split tests to understand which landing page achieves the highest conversion in real life!

Managing your marketing is not easy as an SME 😓

Many business owners know that they have to engage in marketing efforts in order to grow their company/business 🏃‍♂️

While marketing is an important part of ANY business growth strategy ✊ it can become pretty overwhelming if you've got a bunch of other stuff to do to keep the business running!

But it can often feel like a catch-22 👇👇

You don't have time to dedicate to marketing because you have to keep the business running but marketing is an important part of the business's success and if you do it more often then that's less time spent keeping the business running...

So how can SMEs combat this conundrum?

Here are a few ways you can start working on your marketing that make the time sacrifice worth it:

👉 Work with an expert! Whether they're doing all your marketing or just covering the technical stuff, there's something out there for everyone. Sacrificing money for time is worth it to get your marketing done right 💪

👉 Build your personal brand! On LinkedIn, people engage with people far more than on businesses so this is a worthwhile investment. It will take some time and dedication but may prove more fruitful than just doing the business page.

👉 Build a holistic marketing strategy! Whether you enlist the help of experts or do it all yourself, it's important to know where and how you'll reach your audience. Choose 1-3 channels your audience is on and dedicate your efforts to increasing your visibility there.

While consistency is key in marketing, time constraints might make that difficult, however, something is always better than nothing. Start building and see where it takes you 😎
