We recently teamed up with Sharif Tarabay and Jordan Winery to create this painted animation for Californian winery advert.
Naturally, the star of the show is Bismarck the dog, stealing the wine and the show!

Ello peeps, just wanted to post a quick update as we haven't posted for a wee while (been a bit sidetracked work for a drinks company developing some FOOD stuff, who'd have thought it!!) anyway, here's a couple of editorial bits to nibble on for the time being.

FANTA ARTWORK.
We were lucky enough to get to create not just one but two limited edition can artworks for the fizzilicious Fanta. We had quite an open brief over this one except that, obviously, we had to be very mindful of the flavours, one of which was sharp and tangy and one smooth and, well, orangy.
All of the work was created in vector formats to enable scaling etc and additionally our colour pallette was fairly limited. To get around this we used some gorgeous halftone effects that we developed just for this to give us some texture and interesting colour transitions. The other technical aspect we had to consider, as with all pack art, was where the product art would join up ensuring the artwork met up perfectly around the seam of the can.
The entire project took us just under two weeks to create and we had such a fun time working on such a great project. Conveying the right messages on Pack art of any kind is always so much fun and this proved no exception. Both cans can be found on our site: www.akaillustration.com

If you follow us you probably know we like to get about a bit. This time we were over in sunny Melbourne (put another shrimp on the barbie etc etc) to work on a spiffing Australia Post project with a truly lovely bunch of people from VMLY&R.
