"Travel clinic near me" is one of the most valuable searches a UK pharmacy can win.
Most pharmacies never do.
A patient searching three weeks before a trip is not browsing. They are ready to book today, and they will call the first credible clinic they find.
That single search can be worth £300 to £600 per patient.
So why are so many pharmacies invisible for it?
Because they do the same few generic things and hope.
The clinics that win the local map pack get a specific set of signals right. These are the ones we build for every travel clinic we work with:
→ One page per vaccine, not one generic "travel health" page. Google ranks "yellow fever vaccine" and "malaria tablets" as separate pages, so a single page can only win one term.
→ The right Google Business Profile category. Your primary category decides which searches you are even eligible for. For the travel map pack that means "Travel Clinic" as the primary category, with "Vaccination Centre" added, not leaving it on "Pharmacy" and hoping.
→ Every vaccine listed as its own named service with a price, not buried under one vague "travel vaccinations" line. Google matches specific services to specific searches.
→ Schema markup most competitors skip. The structured data that puts review stars, prices and FAQs straight into the search result.
→ A page for every popular destination. "Travel vaccines for Kenya" has far less competition and ranks fast.
→ Reviews on a timed, automatic system, prompting travel patients once they are back from the trip and most likely to leave a detailed review.
None of this is luck. It is a checklist.
One London pharmacy we worked with went from roughly one enquiry a month to 80 bookings a month on exactly these signals, applied consistently.
