📚 Back to school!

We love our job, but describing it is always a challenge.

That's what we tried to do this morning, though, as part of our client's Developing Winchburgh schools' programme. The pupils were engaged, creative and responded so positively, a real credit to their school.

We feel very lucky to be in the business of generating media coverage for some wonderful people, and creating stories, photography and film for the world to see. After today, we hope some aspiring media professionals may soon follow in our footsteps.

👑 In this historic 35th year for The King's Foundation — the charity founded by King Charles III in 1990 — we have a busy 12 months in store.

🔟 We have now worked with the charity, based at Dumfries House in Ayrshire, for almost a decade on PR, video production, press trips and more, and we worked hard on this video to promote philanthropy that will enable its life-changing education programmes.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Burns Cottage in Ayrshire, birthplace of Robert Burns, will on Friday 24 January stage an exclusive evening event celebrating the women in Burns's life – and the inspiration behind much of his celebrated poetry.

🌹 The Jean Armour Supper, named after the “Belle of Mauchline” who became Burns’ wife and bore him nine children, will be staged on Friday 24 January at the historic National Trust for Scotland site and feature performances by artists including Siobhan McAuley.

🎶 Ringing in Christmas in unique style are the brilliant pupils of New Cumnock Primary School, performing The Scottish 12 Days of Christmas in the Tapestry Room at Dumfries House.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 The school, in East Ayrshire, was awarded the Scots Schuil o the Year award at the 2024 Scots Language Awards, recognition for its commitment to teaching the Scots language and incorporating it into its curriculum. Head teacher Danielle McNulty was named Scots Teacher o the Year.

🎄 With the Tailormade team normally dotted around the country, bringing everyone together last night for our annual Christmas night out felt very rewarding.

Last week, we were honoured to be invited to a reception at Buckingham Palace hosted by Their Majesties King Charles and Queen Camilla to celebrate those working in the film and television industry 🎬

It was great to catch-up with so many colleagues, and reflect on some of the exciting shows we’ve worked on that will be hitting screens soon 🎥

🙌 Today marks the culmination of a *huge* Tailormade project to run a public exhibition at Scotland's busiest railway station to highlight the brilliant work over the past 70 years of our client Enable, Scotland's biggest disability charity.

🗓️ The exhibition coincides with the launch of Disability History Month 2024, which offers the chance for us to talk about disability history, to celebrate the changes we have made in the UK to be more inclusive of people with disabilities, and to talk about what more we can do.

📈 An estimated 165,000 people in the station's concourse area will see our 12-panel display — researched, copywritten, designed and installed by Tailormade, and produced by our magnificent print production partners in Edinburgh — over the course of today and tomorrow.

🎬 We have also worked to promote Enable's 70th anniversary, the public exhibition, and how life for people with a disability has evolved — and, happily, largely improved — over the past century. We have secured coverage in The Times and The Sunday Times, Good Morning Britain, The Scotsman, The Herald, BBC Scotland News, and STV.
