Infographic Poster.
I designed this Infographic for my thesis project which was about sanitation and in particular how it affects young girls in their efforts to stay in school after they reach puberty.
School absenteeism is deeply linked to lack of access to decent sanitation.
My studies were around ways we can design latrines better architecturally, to keep girls in school for longer.
We actually went out to Pemba Island, Tanzania, to a secondary school and built a new bamboo latrine with a thatched roof, using vernacular natural materials but new, improved design techniques.
