The High-Tier Flex 🌊💻
Last Friday was legendary. My company, Pic Tree, was nominated for Excellence in International Trade at the .
We didn’t win. We took the “L.”
But here’s the thing: we lost to Alcatel Submarine Networks. They literally build the internet under the sea. Honestly? Losing to a company that connects continents via the ocean floor is a high-tier flex. It sounds romantic. It sounds cool. I’m not even mad.
The night was about way more than a trophy. It was about the people:
Caught up with the legends who keep the Greenwich business scene thriving.
I met Christina (Ying-Ching) Hsieh, a total force in structural engineering. She works with Ravensbourne University—the exact place where I studied film. 🎥✨ It felt like a total “full-circle” moment!
A massive shout-out to all the nominees. The energy in that room was electric.
The “Problem First” Spirit
At Pic Tree, we don’t just make content; we find the map. Whether we’re working with the World Bank or filming independent cinema like Wof Zerash Coffee, we start with the mess. 🌳⚡️
Huge thanks to London City Airport for sponsoring our category and to for the incredible evening.
