I was working on a Shopify store with everything going for it, great products, solid traffic, and an engaged audience.

I’ll never forget when I realised how much a slow site was costing me.

A few years ago, I was managing my own Shopify store and thought everything was fine.

I had great products and a solid marketing plan, but the traffic was low, and my site conversions were even worse.

Then, I stumbled upon a stat that changed everything for me, 53% of users abandon sites that take over 3 seconds to load.

So, I checked my site's speed… and it was a nightmare.

Years ago, I thought more backlinks automatically meant better rankings.

So I dove headfirst into the numbers game, chasing as many links as possible, from anywhere I could get them.

And guess what?

It backfired.

My site didn’t just stagnate; it dropped in rankings.
