Should you follow Google Ads' recommendations?
The general rule is no, and here's why:

1. Most recommendation on Google Ads a cookie cutter, one size fits all practices.
2. Most system recommendations including the ones given by Google reps are not considered best practice by PPC professionals.
3. Google cares about Google. They have their own agenda with pressure to meet their shareholders' targets, not yours!

Conclusion :
You can look at the recommendations tab in case it flags an error you haven't noticed. But be prepared to ignore 85-100% of what you see in there.
