Today I’m celebrating a very special milestone for Vyshyto Embroidery✨

I’m incredibly proud and grateful to have been recognised in the Young Traders Market competition and awarded Highly Commended in Arts & Crafts, earning the opportunity to trade at the famous Greenwich Market.

What makes this recognition so meaningful is knowing that both visitors and professional judges connected not only with my work, but also with the story behind the brand. Every embroidered piece I create carries a part of my Ukrainian heritage, my journey, and my passion for preserving traditional craftsmanship in a modern way.

As a small business owner, moments like these remind me why I started. Knowing that people value the quality, authenticity, and meaning behind my creations gives me the motivation to keep growing and creating.

Sometimes the best gift idea is already part of your story….

A couple came to me with something very personal: she’s Ukrainian, he’s British… and both of them are obsessed with bachata.

They didn’t want a “typical couple T-shirt”. No flags. No cheesy hearts. Nothing obvious.

So we turned their hobby into something subtle and meaningful instead.

Minimal embroidery. Two words: “Lead” and “Follow ”
And one tiny detail - bachata.
Because sometimes a dance says more than a long love letter.

That’s what I love most about embroidery - you can stitch memories, movement, culture, personality…into something people actually wear.

Your hobby.
Your story.
Your inside joke.
Your first dance.
Your city.
Your rhythm.

✨What started as an idea…

turned into nearly 3 months of work, emotions, and obsession with every tiny detail.

I’ve never been able to create “just to finish something”. Everything I make has to feel alive. Thought through. Meaningful.

Every connection, every stitch, every texture in this piece was carefully considered. Different embroidery techniques were combined to bring the whole story together.

The embroidery of The Vertep itself took around 5 hours. The goat mask alone- another 3.

But the real time can’t even be measured in hours.

Because this piece holds so much love, soul, and devotion to Ukrainian traditions. I wanted to show the beauty of our culture through modern embroidery… but I never imagined it would resonate this deeply.

And then something unbelievable happened.

To receive this kind of recognition in the UK means more to me than words can explain.
