elliedraws My work is inspired by buildings, machinery, food and animals, beginning with a pen drawing on location. I also work as an Art Teacher in London.

I create illustrations that are loose and observed, with a simplistic style. I always begin with pen and a sketchbook and draw quite quickly to maintain the initial feeling evoked by the subject matter. It's about capturing a moment. I then use digital media to prepare my drawings for silk screen or digital printing, and moving into lino more recently.
