What is community management?

It’s the art of building, nurturing and engaging with the people around your brand online. From replying to comments and DMs to sparking conversations and creating a sense of belonging, great community management turns followers into loyal fans.

Here are a few tips to slay your community management:

💬 Be responsive
Reply to comments and messages quickly. It shows your audience that there are real humans behind the brand.

🤝 Start conversations
Don’t just post and disappear. Ask questions, respond to feedback, and make your audience feel heard.

✨ Celebrate your community
Share user-generated content, shout out loyal followers, and spotlight your biggest supporters.

🎯 Stay on brand
Your tone of voice matters. Whether you’re witty, professional or playful, consistency builds recognition and trust.

❤️ Build relationships, not just numbers
A smaller engaged community is always more powerful than a large silent audience.

At a recent industry panel, which our director Jon Shone participated in, we explored one of the biggest questions clients ask: how do you balance bold creative ideas with measurable return on investment?

For events professionals, budgets rarely keep up with ideas. Clients want impact without endlessly increasing spend. That’s where creativity becomes powerful. A strong idea can amplify a brand experience far beyond the event itself, through word of mouth, social media, and lasting brand affinity.

The key is starting with the right questions:
✨ Why are we hosting this event?
✨ What problem are we trying to solve?
✨ What does success actually look like?

When the objectives and metrics are clear from the start, creativity has the context it needs to deliver meaningful results.

Who should your brand really target? 👀

If you want your brand to grow, it’s important to know who you’re actually speaking to. From the people signing the deals to the ones spreading the word, here are five key personas every brand should understand.

📌 The Decision Maker
The person who ultimately approves budgets, partnerships, or purchases. They care about results, credibility, and whether your brand aligns with their business goals. Strong messaging and clear proof of success help build the trust they need to say yes.

📱 The Influencer
This is the person who shapes opinions about your brand. It could be a journalist, industry expert, creator, or thought leader. When influencers talk about your brand, they help amplify your message and build credibility with wider audiences.

👑 The End User
The person who actually interacts with your product or service day to day. Their experience determines whether they become loyal customers or move on to a competitor. Happy users often become advocates who recommend your brand to others.

🧙‍♂️ The Gatekeeper
The person who controls access to the decision maker. This could be an assistant, procurement manager, or team leader responsible for filtering options. Clear, professional communication helps ensure your brand makes it through the door.

💕 The Advocate
Your biggest cheerleader. Advocates love your brand and actively recommend it to others, whether they’re loyal customers or long-term partners. Their support builds trust and powerful word-of-mouth marketing.

Mika, is spilling the tea on why your business needs PR in 2025. ⭐

Think of PR as your brand’s hype team, reputation shield, and spotlight all rolled into one.

Here’s why it matters:
✨ Build trust and credibility
📣 Grow your brand awareness organically
🛟 Protect your reputation when things get a little… spicy

If you really want your brand to really make noise, PR is the move.

Every Easter, brands go all out with campaigns full of egg hunts, chocolate treats, and playful bunny fun! 🐰🐣

Here’s a round-up of some of the most egg-citing Easter activations in recent years:

💜 Cadbury UK’s Hide Campaign
In 2023, Cadbury launched a global digital egg hunt like no other. Users could hide virtual purple eggs anywhere in the world using Google Street View, then send clues to friends and family to help them find it online. Once discovered, the sender had the option to deliver a real chocolate egg straight to their loved one’s door.

🍦 Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurry
McDonald's and Cadbury teamed up to bring the iconic Easter treat to the menu. The limited-edition McFlurry combined soft-serve ice cream with chunks of Cadbury chocolate and the gooey Creme Egg fondant we all know and love.

🏡 National Trust’s The Great Golden Egg Hunt
Families and chocolate lovers got outside for the Great Golden Egg Hunt, a partnership between Cadbury and National Trust. Participants followed clues across historic gardens and estates throughout the UK to find hidden eggs. A fun, family-friendly way to explore beautiful heritage sites while enjoying the thrill of the hunt.

👟 Nike Easter Sneakers
Since 2005, Nike has been releasing Easter-themed sneakers featuring pastel colourways that capture the springtime spirit. These seasonal drops build anticipation every year, giving sneakerheads a reason to celebrate Easter in style. Pastels, playful designs, and a dash of streetwear... what’s not to love?

🐰 IKEA's Flat-Pack Easter Bunny
IKEA brought its signature sense of playful design to Easter with a flat-pack chocolate bunny. Combining creativity, fun, and the brand’s core DIY ethos, this activation encouraged people to enjoy a hands-on, chocolate-filled Easter experience. A clever way to tie seasonal moments back to brand identity.
