Why blend in when the goal is to stand out?
I mention this on my website www.onnastick.co because I see it driving around South Croydon every single day:
"If you're a builder, you don't need to put your company name under a little roof icon. It has been done. Many, many times."
There is nothing wrong with it, but it creates a "sea of sameness." When every logo on a site hoarding in South London looks identical, the only way a client can choose between them is by looking for the cheapest price.
That is the trap.
For ONN-A-STK, we sidestepped the clichés entirely. We didn't want them to look like just another local residential builder; we wanted them to look like a major operation.
We used the visual language of the industry itself—High-Vis Yellow.
It’s the colour of JCBs, site safety, and heavy infrastructure. It triggers an immediate psychological association with "Industrial Strength" and "Compliance." It doesn't need a picture of a house to tell you what they do. The vibe does the talking.
Stand out. Be seen. Be the one they remember.
I help tradesmen across Surrey and South London build brands that match the quality of their work.
