For the first edition of our new Real Lives Real Stories feature, we’re spotlighting our new talent Arrianna and the journey that brought her back to creativity after some of the hardest years of her life.
After leaving LA and moving to the UK, Arrianna faced overwhelming grief following the loss of her beloved dogs, isolation in a new country, and the sudden loss of her job after discovering her US licence was no longer valid here. What was meant to be a fresh start became a season of rebuilding from the ground up.
Instead of waiting for opportunities to come to her, she chose herself and reconnected with the creative voice she’d lost along the way.
Since then, she has booked UK campaigns, founded her own production company, Storm Cloud Productions, and created her debut short film The Shadow, inspired by the emotional journey she experienced during that time. Arrianna wrote, executive produced, and starred in the film and this week, The Shadow won at the Cannes Indie Shorts Awards New Waves Grand Prix.
Today, she’s continuing to build a career rooted in storytelling, creativity, and community while creating space for others navigating their own difficult chapters.
“From the outside it may look like a comeback, but for me it feels like just the beginning.”
