I want to tell you about the woman I used to be.
She was lovely. Everyone said so. Reliable. Accommodating. Never any trouble.
She also hadn’t said what she really thought in about 15 years.
I don’t hate her. She got me here. She kept me safe when I didn’t have the tools or the permission to be anything else.
But this year, I laid her down.
I stopped performing “fine.”
I stopped shrinking to fit rooms that were too small for me.
I stopped apologising for having a voice, a fire, a want.
Midlife is a threshold into your next phase if you dare to embrace it Rebelliously.
It asks: what are you ready to let go, so the truer you can finally live?
Mine was the good girl. Who’s yours?
What are you ready to lay down? Tell me below. Then come and rise with us. Link in bio.
