We had a lovely time, discussing life with allergies, asthma, eczema, and sharing a few experiences.

Over at Sealife Adventure, on the east side of Adventure Island, Southend on Sea, you will find a café with a selection of sandwiches, jacket potatoes, kids’ meals and main meals, including burgers, chicken, and fish. With the option of Ice-cream for afters, there are several flavours of ice-cream and sorbet which do not contain any of the top 14 allergens.
Again, there are Gluten free and vegan options, and there is dedicated equipment for chips, and other food items to reduce the risk of allergen contamination as much as possible.

“A right Royal Restaurant”, Sands by the Sea has retained their three-star Cater Allergy Safer recognition this year.
At Sands, you can find a very wide range of meal choices, with something to meet the needs of every diner, regardless of dietary requirements. There are dedicated fryers and utensils used at Sands, as well as a separate preparation area, so that risks of allergen contamination
are kept to a minimum.
We can vouch for the Gluten Free Fish and Chips, it was delicious, with a crispy batter and the option of ‘Non brewed condiment’ for those who need free from vinegar on their fish and chips.
There are lots of options for the food hypersensitive diner, with gluten free, milk free and egg free as standard for some of the meals, including scooped ice-cream with several flavours which do not contain any of the top 14 allergens.
