Langley Creative Case Study: Website and logo for Geoffrey Huband, Marine Artist.

Geoffrey Huband is a long established and highly respected marine artist who has a wide body of incredible work. He has paintings displayed on many websites but never had one of his own completely dedicated to his work. We were honoured to be considered for bringing this to fruition and created a website worthy of his great artistry. In doing so we took inspiration from his signature to create a sketched monogram logo. We sampled sea colour from one of his paintings to bring the design together and used clean typography in simple layouts allow his work to shine.

We’d like to thank Geoffrey for using us for this project, it was a lovely one to work on and we are proud to have been involved!

A significant part of creating a gallery style website is image optimisation. The challenge is to save and upload images larger enough to display the work to do it justice and retain detail, whilst avoiding large file sizes which can often lead to sites being penalised by search engines. Doing this also allows the site to load quickly and creates a much better user experience.

Case Study: Branding, logo design and website design for Seascape Cottage.

In 2025 our friends asked us to design a new website for their holiday rental property Seascape Cottage in the Rhins of Galloway, Scotland. Before beginning the design we were lucky enough to spend a week there and experience their stunning location and hospitality. This was important as it really helped us capture this feeling in the design and communicate just how beautiful it is. They didn’t have a logo to speak of so we designed one inspired by the landscape.

Bold, striking, iconic and unmistakable. Everything a beautifully designed logo should be.

John Pasche, born April 24, 1945, is a British graphic designer who graduated with a BA from Brighton College of Art (1963–1967) and an MA from the Royal College of Art (1967–1970). In 1970, while still a student, Pasche was recommended to Mick Jagger to design a poster for The Rolling Stones’ European tour. Impressed, Jagger commissioned him to create a logo for their new record label. Inspired by Jagger’s mention of the Hindu goddess Kali and her protruding tongue, Pasche designed the iconic “Tongue and Lips” logo in 1970, debuting on the Sticky Fingers album in 1971. The bold, red design, symbolizing rebellion, became a global rock icon. Pasche was paid £50 initially, later selling the copyright for £26,000 in 1984. The original artwork sold to the Victoria and Albert Museum for $92,500 in 2008.

So Easter week is upon us…

We will be open our usual hours this week (and next)
Thursday - Saturday 9-12.

Hot cross buns all week, these are selling in about 40mins most days. I don’t tell you that to cause a panic, simply to say, you may miss out but if you do manage to catch one…treasure it 😉

Sausage rolls on Friday and Saturday, these come out the oven about 10am.

This month we have designed and printed a set of high end valuation folders for luxury property Estate Agent Sofia Matthias . It was fantastic working closely with Sofia who’s business covers Maidenhead and surrounding areas. In response to her brief we created a clean, modern design with an emphasis on simplicity, in a gold and black colour scheme and featuring a luxurious matt laminate finish. A truly effective asset for her business.

We had a nice little project complete yesterday, for our lovely friends Di and the team at Big Dog Bakery Maidenhead. Their open times sign at the shop had faded and become quite weather worn, so we set them up with a brand new one. If you haven't been to Big Dog before do stop by and pick up some delicious sourdough, cakes and pastries, they're the best!

Case Study:
Event Graphics for North South Wines

In November and December we created some more event materials for our client northsouthwines.

Firstly, they were at Olympia in London promoting prosecco brand La Gioiosa at the European Pizza Show and needed some wall graphics for a large, two sided space. We created a design focussing on their main Prosecco product but also incorporating Rosé and alcohol free options. The style we went with utilised the main colours of their branded bottles for each section of the stand which, when combined with bottle images and bubbles, gave a lively, fun backdrop for the stand.

Secondly, they had their own stand at the Waitrose Winter Drinks Festival in November at To***co Dock in London. For this project we produced a series of wine tags and menus that detailed ideal pairing of wines with a range of Waitrose foods. Another fun one to work on, we colour coded the tags and menus with rich, dark colours for each of the Christmas holiday days and styled each item with some seasonal illustration and stylish typography. We also supplied the printed versions of these to use on the stand.
