LAPTOP MONDAY - BEACONSFIELD AND GERRARDS CROSS

Good Morning, Please don't forget that GX and Beaconsfield Laptop Monday is on this coming Monday, 9th March at a new location in Beaconsfield.

What is Laptop Monday? An opportunity its to work alongside other businesses in a co-working environment where you can choose to work alone, discuss ideas or join in a group discussion - the choice is yours. It's a whole new way of working and gets you out of the office for a few hours from 9.30-12.30 on a Monday.

A&B Catering Butchers can supply all your meat requirements during January as well as for the 31- day January challenge. LAST FEW DAYS....

Are you taking part? Do you know what it involves? Here we share some information for those of you who may not be aware of this diet.

This is an animal-based 31-day challenge consisting of entirely of meat, dairy, and seafood. This elimination diet is quite restrictive as there are no fruits, vegetables, or grains. This diet was created by Dr Shawn Baker if you would like to know more about why and how the diet works, along with the associated benefits.

The suggested foods are Red meat (beef, pork, lamb), with an emphasis on fattier cuts of meat to take in enough calories, such as . Other options include:
• Organ meats
• Poultry
• Fish
• Eggs
• Lard
• Bone marrow
• Butter
• Salt and pepper
• Water
• Bone broth
• Milk
• Yogurt
• Cheese
Coffee and tea: These may be plant-based, but some people keep these in the diet.

A&B Catering Butchers can supply all of your meat requirements bar the fish and dairy but we do have fresh farm eggs available to as well.

Here is an example of what you might eat in a day!
Breakfast: Three eggs cooked in butter, ham, and cheese (optional)
Lunch: Rib eye steak

Planned roadworks in Central Southern England: weekly summary for Monday 2 to Sunday 8 September 2019

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of Friday 30 August but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

M4 junctions 6 at Slough/Windsor to 12 at Theale, Berkshire: upgrade to smart motorway

Work to improve journeys by converting the M4 into a smart motorway between junctions 3 at Hayes to 12 at Theale continues this week. 24-hour narrow lanes and a 50mph speed restriction are in place for sections of this stretch of the M4. Carriageway and slip road closures are planned as follows, all fully closed overnight between 10pm and 5am (traffic management will usually be rolled out from 9pm and taken off by 6am).

There will be three full weekend closures in both directions of the M4 this Autumn.

Full closures booked this week are:

The M4 westbound between junctions 6 (Slough/Windsor) and 8/9 (Maidenhead) will be closed overnight on Monday 2 September. Clearly signed diversions will be in place using the eastbound M4, A308M, A308 and the A332.
The M4 eastbound between junctions 8/9 (Maidenhead) and 6 (Slough/Windsor) will be closed overnight on Tuesday 3 September. Clearly signed diversions will be in place using the westbound M4, A308M, A308 and the A332.
The M4 eastbound between junctions 10 (Wokingham) and 8/9 (Maidenhead) will be closed overnight on Wednesday 4 September. Clearly signed diversions will be in place using the A329M, A3290, A4 and A404M.
There are also slip road closures booked as follows:

Junction 7 – the eastbound entry slip will be closed overnight on Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 September.
Junction 10 – the westbound entry slip from the A329M northbound (slip road 2) will be closed overnight on Monday 2 September.
Junction 12 – the westbound exit slip will be closed overnight on Monday 2 September.
Junction 10 – the eastbound exit slip to the A329M southbound (slip road 7) will be closed overnight on Monday 2, Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 September.
Junction 10 – the eastbound entry from A329M southbound (slip road 4) will be closed overnight on Monday 2, Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 September.
Junction 10 – the eastbound entry from A329M northbound (slip road 5) will be closed overnight on Wednesday 4 September.

SIX WEEKS TO MAIDENHEAD FESTIVAL

ADVERTISE TO OVER 12,000 FESTIVAL GOERS THIS JULY

Maidenhead Festival is the major town event of the year, attended by thousands of people (between 12,000 and 15,000 in 2018) and takes place in Kidwells Park on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July, and promises two packed days of family-friendly music and entertainment. Festival is organised for the community, by the community and is free for anyone to attend. It is planned and run by a group of volunteers and is completely non-profit making, of which I am one. Our aim is to bring all sectors of our society together, to enjoy a fun family day out and support the numerous charities and volunteer groups that use the event to raise funds for their causes and recruit more volunteers for their projects.

We are selling advertising space (visual only) on the cinema screens as a way to try to generate a little bit of income to help pay for the event. It costs approximately £40,000 to put on the event and we rely solely on donations and goodwill of local businesses to be able to cover our costs.

The screen and your advert will be on a continuous loop and be seen approximately 24-36 times throughout the two days of the festival. The cinema screen will be running from 10am to 10.30pm on Saturday and 11am to 9.30pm on Sunday. Prices for advertising range from £75 for 45 seconds to £200 for 2 minutes. It’s the perfect opportunity for you to raise awareness of your business by advertising on our BIG SCREEN and reach a large local audience!
