I keep saying it. AI isnโt the enemy.
Iโm not threatened by it. I use it. I like it. I think it can be incredibly useful when used properly.
But AI should NOT be your social media manager.
When you ask it to โwrite me a social media post about our servicesโ and then copy, paste and publish the first result, you lose.
You LOSE your personality.
You LOSE your opinion.
You LOSE your voice.
You LOSE your audience.
Thatโs not content strategy. Youโre setting yourself up to fail if you rely on AI too much.
Iโve tried explaining this before, but apparently some business owners only listen when AI is involved, so Iโve decided to use AI-style tactics to explain clearly why using AI is a terrible long-term strategy.
The truth is, social media takes time. It takes you being honest, open, authentic and real.
10 years ago, people believed the bu****it. Not anymore. Tell your own story, build trust and offer value to your desired audience.
AI can help with ideas for posts. It can even help to spark some imagination with what to post, but the messaging still needs to come from you.
If you donโt have the time to do it properly, get someone who does because the easy option might get the post published to the page, but it wonโt generate engagement with your real audience.
