We get quite a lot of calls and emails saying we are out of stock of Balsa Wood of which we are not, it is usually only the Contest Balsa that we are out of stock of and usually this is not what the customer requires. Also, the Contest Balsa is double the price of the other types of Balsa Wood.

Unfortunately, we are finding that customers, do not read the description of the Balsa Wood, to find out what they require.

The Balsa Cabin manufactures 3 types of Balsa Wood.

Straight Grain - A Grade, which is mostly used for wing sheeting.
Cross Grain - 'C' Grain which is mostly used for Wing Ribs and Fuselage.
Contest Grade - the lightest Balsa Wood which is mostly used for competitions and very light weight models and weighs between 3-6lb
The contest grade is mostly out of stock as we do not always get these blocks come in, but always call us and ask if we have any in stock.

We hope this helps you choose the correct Balsa Wood you require.
