Fun ways to learn new skills

Learning new skills is a big part of your time at university. Here's a few of our favourite ways to pick up new skills:

✨ Start a new hobby
Hear us out - Starting a hobby is a great way to learn new skills. Even hobbies that aren't related to your desired degree foster skills such as time management and attention to detail. It's also a great way to relax after a long day of studying.

✨ Join a society
Joining a society is a fun way to learn new skills and make new friends. Societies often offer opportunities to plan events, recruit new members and work in teams.

✨ Volunteer
Volunteering can be a fun and easy way to meet new people and practice your communication, teamworking and flexibility.

✨ Take an online class
Learning new skills is a big part of your time at university. Here are a few of our favourite ways to pick up new skills: to learn language skills, coding or design. And you can often learn at your own pace.
