Ciao 👋🏼

5 days in Sicily was just what the doctor ordered after ten days of the vilest flu ever. Stayed in Taormina. Highly recommend both. Qué bella! A few snippets here and as can be seen, did nowt other than bask on balconies admiring the vistas. Perfetto 👌🏼Didn’t even go to see Etna bubbling volcanic clouds out at closer quarters. Weather was superb at an alleged 21 tho felt more like 25, (got a good tan!😎) and much better than melting in the summer when it can go up to 50 and is rammed with tourists. A good rest and defo doable for a weekend I’d say.

Back to reality in Mancunia and it’s schizophrenic weather moods - hurrah! 🙌🏼

Been anywhere nice?

Seasons greetings! 🎄

Unpredictable weather mode fully activated. Pre-Christmas cosy AND chic required… so been styling up this gorge Fair Isle jumper. Pair with barrel legs and a pointy toe if you don’t want to look too ‘done’ or stompy boots for a more outdoorsy vibe. Either way, perfect for post-work mulled wine and mince pies methinks 😉🎄🍷🥧

Q: How many (packets of) mince pies is too many in one day? 🤭😬

Right then. I am NOT going to talk about the seasons, being cold, autumn, warm, cosy, changing wardrobes etc etc, I promise. I’m just going to say I love my new jumper.

That’s it.

Cheers.

Just me blending in with the scenery…

This ensemble looks a bit thrown together. That’s because it was. Last minute layers slung on as I rushed out the door, in case it got cold. And it did. The shirt went on and I used the jumper as a blanket 😬

The point is, it’s tonal. And casual, ish. Neutral warm earthy tones from my colour palette which complement my hair and skin tone. This khaki skirt is a winner and I know I’ll wear it A LOT as it goes with so much I already have 👍🏼👍🏼

Do you know your neutrals?

Home tomorrow. Zut alors 😕

Bonjour bonjour…yes I am back chez moi en France 🇫🇷 Salut! 🙋🏼‍♀️👋🏼

A few snaps from to a(nother) French market 🫣

Drove through a cloud to get there and it was bl**dy cold and gloomy then all of a sudden the sun came out and all in the world was good encore! 🌤️🌤️

I made purchases…….
1) a check shirt (not this one which I nicked out of my dad’s wardrobe a while back) tbc..
2) a very old leather satchel, will demo soon
and
3) the world’s most expensive fish* like, ever. Was too embarrassed to say non merci once the de-scaling/gutting ritual commenced, complete with striped Breton shirt-wearing French fish-gutting man.
(Trigger warning: vegetarians look away now 🙈😂😱)

Ah well, you live and learn 🙄

I bought these cropped wide leg jeans at a French market for €20 in the summer. They looked great with heeled clogs or birkies but now look dreadful with any kind of a boot in this ere new season, truly awful🙈
Popped these rather splendid new kicks on with them and 💥 they’re back in the wearable zone for autumn 👍🏼

When I work with clients I talk a lot about proportion and tonal balance; footwear can make a big difference here and once it clicks, you can get a lot more out of your wardrobe than you might think!

Also, while you’re here, this bouclé jacket? Oui merci! J’adore!!💋Equally marvellous over a chic black dress, with a leather mini, smart black cigarette trousers etc etc and so on….cardi of dreams 💕
