Vine walked so that TikTok could run, and now, the OG of short-form video sharing is returning to save us from AI slop!

Twitter’s co-founder, Jack Dorsey, has helped relaunch the platform as “Divine”, where all content must be made by, you guessed it, a human being 💪

It will also host 500,000 videos from the original Vine app, so if you’re old enough to remember "What are those" or "Look at all those chickens", stop what you’re doing and head to the app store!

LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky is stepping down into a new position focused on AI within parent company Microsoft 📣

We’re not surprised – Roslansky has been transfixed on AI’s transformational potential for some time, and we’ve all seen how LinkedIn has been increasingly taking measures to implement AI into the platform.

It looks like that will continue under Roslansky’s successor, current COO Daniel Shapero, who “will remain committed to ensuring that professionals are able to align their careers with the development of the latest AI tools and processes.”

Holland & Barrett put a lighthearted lens on personal health ❤️‍🩹

Their new “Back Your Body” campaign and brand platform encourages people to pay attention to their bodies before something goes wrong, rather than afterwards.

The health and wellness store found that 47% of 16-34 year olds struggle to be proactive with their health, and this campaign uses fresh brand imagery and humour to reach and grow that demographic.

It’s a great example of how creativity can help brands become more accessible to different audience segments – epitomised in the TV ad where body parts sing along to “Show Me Love” 🎤🦵

We’ve probably all felt like our stomachs are talking to us at times, and it’s that relatability that helps break down barriers and make health feel less daunting for younger audiences.

The content you’re fed on Instagram has always been based on what you interact with… until last October 📱

That’s when ‘Your Algorithm’ was launched – a recommendation control option that gives users more say over the Reels they see.

Now, Instagram has extended this tool to the Explore (AKA ‘For you’) page, giving you even greater control over your algorithm.

It's a big move by Instagram, but how will this affect brands and content creators❓

Will it make it easier to reach your target audience but harder to reach new segments❓

Time will tell…

The feature will now be available to all English-language users and will allow them greater capacity to control what the algorithm shows them.
