N.B- What does deboss mean?
It’s when an image, logo or text is imprinted into your print piece to create a depressed effect - basically creating an indentation in the stock you use.

🍻Coaster or beermat? 🍻

What do you call them?
Whats the difference?

The word coaster comes from the phrase “bottle-coaster,” which are round wheeled trays that were originally used to hold decanters. These trays “coasted” around the perimeter of a table to each guest during dinner, serving them their drink. Beermats were first referred to as “coasters” in 1913.

We can letterpress print, blind deboss and foil pretty much any shape. Most popular ones are usually circular mats, square and curved edged (as image)

♥ Ding d**g, wedding bells! ♥

It's lovely seeing all the weddings and wedding planning going full stream ahead after the enforced hiatus on the wedding scene. Wedding planning isn't as uncertain as it has been over the last couple of years and with that brings a fresh perspective and renewed excitement.

Planning a wedding can be stressful but with the pandemic and lockdown rules we have all endured, a little bit of wedding prep is nothing!

From deciding on design, print methods and design accents, invitations can be a minefield. Here at Lost Heritage we can help that become less of a stress by helping answer your questions and queries. We can recommend wedding invitation designers (as a print house we usually print designs brought in by the customer, this way you can go right to the source and save £££'s) We can give advice as to what print process and extras might enhance your invitations and even help with any budgets by giving honest, down to earth recommendations.

Blind deboss 😍

So simple yet so effective. One of the beauties of letterpress. It makes the design leap from the page, adding dept, elegance and sophistication. Understated yet it stands out so much.
