Are you curious to see how you stack up against your competitors? 🔍
One of the things that I undertake when onboarding a new LinkedIn client is to don my Inspector Clouseau hat and draw up a competitor analysis. This can provide some really useful insights to help me support them in their longer-term LinkedIn strategy. 😀
I like using the analytics tab - it can tell you a lot! If you haven’t looked at it before or it’s been a long time since you did, now might be a suitable time to delve back in.
Your analytics shows how your content is performing, visitor demographics, followers, how your engagement rate compares and more. Only Page Admins can see this data which can be exported as an XLS file, for reporting purposes. 📈
💡 Head over to your Company Page and click on ‘Analytics’ and ‘Competitors’ over on the left-hand side panel. Add your direct competitors and you’ll start to see how your company benchmarks against your competitors.
If you spot a good tactic, look at how you can do it better. You can also look at your competitors’ ‘People’ tab directly on their Company Page – it might be that employees are more active than the Company Page and that could also provide some great ideas!
Leverage these insights to look at areas for improvement and it's wise to get your team involved; as your brand ambassadors they’ll be supporting your strategy too! And, always test, measure and review.
