A little late to the party, but last Wednesday I did a thing... 💗

I delivered my Social Media Mistakes Businesses Make and How to Fix Them, 2026 Edition masterclass at the Pink Link Ladies Summer Regional, to the biggest room I’ve ever spoken to!

I was definitely nervous beforehand, but what a brilliant room.

We laughed, we talked social media mistakes, we looked at how to fix them and hopefully everyone went away with a few useful tips they can actually use.

And the feedback afterwards was AMAZING. 🥹💗

As a judge, you'll have the opportunity to celebrate outstanding local businesses and play an important role in recognising excellence across our borough.

Networking isn't speed dating for business... so please stop treating it like it is. 😅🤝

You don't need to hand out 47 business cards, pitch to everyone with a pulse, or awkwardly interrupt someone's sausage roll to tell them what you do.

The best networking isn't about selling.

It's about listening.
Making genuine connections.
Following up.
And yes... remembering people's names helps. 😆

After years of running networking events, business expos and awards campaigns, I've learned that the biggest opportunities often come from conversations that didn't feel like opportunities at the time.
