In one of the wildest AI patents yet, Meta has been granted the rights to build an AI system that could keep your social media alive even after youโre gone, or just on a long break.
The patent describes a giant language model trained on your past posts, comments, likes, and DMs that could theoretically continue interacting with your friends, followers, and feeds in your voice.
Meta says it has no plans to actually launch this tech, but the idea, part influencer understudy, part digital ghost, raises some seriously spooky questions about grief, privacy, consent, and what it means to actually be gone.
Would you want your digital clone scrolling and chatting long after you sign off forever?
