We’ve been working on something for the past 3 months that we’ve been bursting to talk about, and now we finally can!

For years, we’ve worked with founders and CEOs on their video marketing - turning their amazing experiences, stories and ideas into content that’s generated millions in both views AND revenue.

We’ve made no bones about the fact that our service is expensive and only really available for a small percentage of entrepreneurs.

After all, managing the entire video process takes time and a whole team, which is why our clients pay us thousands each month to handle it all.

But it’s bothered us that we haven’t been able to help more genuinely brilliant people create video content - so they can get the recognition and opportunities they deserve.

And we wanted to fix that.

So we built VideoFlo, a tool designed that’s taken everything we know about video strategy, authority building, and content creation…and put it into one simple platform.

With VideoFlo, you can:

- Generate endless ideas and scripts in seconds personalised to your business (without sounding like AI sludge)
- Record directly inside the app, and get hints and tips on how to present at your best
- Edit your video easily, with our simple video editor - fixing your mistakes within 60 seconds
- Publish your videos directly to social media and YouTube

Ultimately, this tool makes video creation so much more accessible, so people can publish better content 10x faster.

If you want early access, you’ll need to join the waitlist, where you’ll also get:

✅ 30% off for life
✅ 66 viral video hooks, ready to use
✅ A chance to win one of five free accounts

The truth about quantity vs quality when it comes to blogging and SEO is that quantity really does matter.

Recently, we’ve gone from producing one blog post a week for a SaaS client, to one blog post a day (mon-fri).

We started in April, and the keywords they are ranking for have doubled.

If you want better and faster SEO, upping how much content you produce is a way to do that.

Don’t get me wrong, publishing an article every day while maintaining the quality of the writing and delivering value to the reader is NOT an easy task.

We have one SEO content manager, three writers, a graphic designer, a technical VA, and a ClickUp workflow more complicated than assembling IKEA furniture, all working on this one client.

But if you can do it, keep doubling down on your content—it really does lead to results.

And yes, I mean actual results i.e. sales. This particular client has cut their paid ads budget and is investing more in organic because it leads to way more sales. And those clients stay with the software a lot longer.

What about you? Where do you sit on the quantity vs quality debate?

What do we do before we publish ANY piece of content for our clients? 🤔

And we're particularly talking long-form content here such as a long-form video or blog post.

We ask ourselves: is this the best possible answer to this question on the internet?

And by best, we don't mean the longest, most in-depth or complicated.

We define best in three ways...

1️⃣ Is it most simple?

Is the content accessible to your audience and the easiest to understand?

2️⃣ Is it the most creative?

Does it include stories, anecdotes or examples?

Or does it make the audience laugh? Does it entertain them?

3️⃣ Does it deliver value?

Does the audience learn something new when consuming the content? Do they get that hit of dopamine?

That's how we define best!

What do you think makes great content?

Tools don't matter.

At least, not in the beginning.

Our agency was built on spreadsheets, a Google calendar, and a whiteboard. It was messy and chaotic, but it worked.

When you're growing a business, it's easy to feel like you need the latest tools and perfectly automated systems right from day one.

But doing that too soon costs time and money that’s better spent on making sales and building a product people love.

Get the basics right first. When you have the revenue and resources, then you can invest in the right tools and systems to scale efficiently.

Now, we spend 3k a month on software that keeps our agency running smoothly and helps us deliver for our clients.

But that came later, once we had the time and money to do it.

In the early days, it's not about perfection—it's about progress. The tools can wait.

What do you think? Do you think we obsess too much over tools when we should be getting on with other things?

What's your content battle plan?

Your content battle plan comes in four layers.

Think of the first layer as your goal - what do you want to actually 'get' from your content?

The second layer is your strategy - how will you reach that goal, what kind of content do you need and how will you bring in your unique knowledge

The third layer is your 'organic channel' - choosing one channel that gets organic traffic naturally through people searching (such as your blog or YouTube)

And the final layer is your 'social channel' - distributing your content far and wide on social channels, and chopping up the longer form content from your organic channel

Now, this sounds complicated, but it's actually quite straightforward to deliver in reality. The hard bit is staying consistent, being creative and making sure every piece of content you produce links back to your goal.

Have you put your content battle plan into formation yet?

p.s. yes, Martin is one of those blokes who thinks about the Roman Empire (a lot).

More Content = More Freedom

Why do we bother with content marketing when we only take on eight clients at a time, and our clients typically stay with us for years?

If a spot opens up, we fill it through our database or waitlist. We're not the kind of business that needs to attract hundreds or thousands of customers.

So why do we continue creating long form/short form videos, blog posts and posting on social media?

Because content creates freedom.

Content is not just about leads and sales, when you create content, you can achieve the 6 Rs of business growth:

1️⃣ Recruitment: You may not be hiring now, but when it’s time to expand your team, your content will attract the right people—those who already know, like, and trust your brand.

2️⃣ Redirection: You may not need more clients now, but tomorrow you might decide to launch a new product, service, or offering. If you've built a solid audience using content, you can go out to them with your new offer and easily sell out.

3️⃣ Relationships: Content builds your credibility and authority, allowing you to make connections with high-value partners who can help you open new opportunities!

4️⃣ Retention: Engaging content doesn’t just attract new clients—it nurtures and maintains your existing ones. You're a constant reminder of how great you are at what you do, keeping your clients engaged over the long term.

5️⃣ Reduces Sales Cycle: When a client leaves, you're not scrambling for the next one. Your ongoing content creates a pool of potential clients who are already familiar with your work and ready to jump in, shortening the sales cycle.

6️⃣ Resilience: If the market shifts or new competitors emerge, your consistent content builds stability, trust, and authority, helping you remain a leader even in tough times.

Here’s what I’ve learned:

Content isn’t just for marketing—it’s for creating options.

As soon as your business grows or changes, it's there to help you do that successfully.

And that’s true freedom!

Which content strategy should you follow, based on your revenue? ⬇️

Much of the advice around content marketing is generic. ‘Make a content calendar. Write blogs. Do social media. Go forth and be successful!’

And it doesn’t take into consideration the:

➡️ Size of the business
➡️ Revenue of the business
➡️ Skillset within the business

So here’s what to focus on when it comes to content marketing (based on your revenue*)

1️⃣ 5-figure business…

You might not have much spare cash for content, but your advantage is your ability to shift or tweak your offerings quickly.

Use content marketing to:

➡️ Observe what your audience says and ask for their feedback - using this data to inform your products or services
➡️ Build in public - take people on a journey with you and build connections along the way
➡️ Make direct sales - create content related to your products or services and make sales

2️⃣ 6-figure business…

You should be focused on becoming THE go-to authority in your industry.

Use content marketing to:

➡️ Create thought leadership content - talk about your experiences, methodologies, stories, opinions, and new findings/data to position you differently
➡️ Invest in ONE channel that gets organic searches (such as your blog, YouTube or podcast) and gain traffic from people searching
➡️ Invest in ONE social channel where you can repurpose this content (for example, this is based on a blog post)

2️⃣ 7 or 8 figure business…

When you hit 7 or 8 figures+, it’s all about scaling your content to reach more and more people.

You’re seen as the leader in your industry…but let’s make sure everyone knows it!

➡️ Collate your ‘content assets’ such as books, podcasts, webinars, blogs, methodologies, stories, unique experiences/opinions
➡️ Re-create this content for different channels (maintaining its originality but making it suitable for the platform you’re posting to)
➡️ Create a scaling system that helps you reach more and more people. For some of our clients in this category we're producing 150 pieces of content a week.

How can you use b-roll footage like this to gain tons more views?

1. Capture 5-12 seconds of B-roll footage of yourself doing anything – it could be walking, sipping coffee, or just recording yourself on a podcast interview.

2. Attach some audio to it.

3. Add a hook in the first few seconds to reel people in

4. Use your caption to share something valuable (this is the key, you can't just not deliver something helpful!).

Try it out – you'd be surprised how impactful (and easy!) it is!

18/09/2024

How do you keep your audience's attention?

Your content should not only 'stop the scroll' but also get your audience to stay with your content right until the end!

But how?

A good way to do this is by using the same method as Lee Child, author of the Jack Reacher books.

At the start of each book is a horrible crime, and you, as the reader, have a question - who did it? 💀

And you read the entire novel just to find out the answer to that question.

As humans, we love to know what the answer is, and we'll stick around if the question intrigues us enough.

So the key to good content?

Ask a brilliant question at the start that your audience is dying to know the answer to!

Stop obsessing over your USP.

Unless you're the only one on the planet who can do what you can do, it's not as important as you think.

Sure, there are things that we can do that many agencies can't.

We can plan, create and publish content without taking up any of our client's time (or as little of it as possible).

But did this make us unique?

Nope. 😱

It may have whittled us down somewhat. But we certainly weren't unique.

So unless you're the only person in the world who can do what you can do, you cannot rely on a USP to bring in clients. It can help, but it's not the answer to everything.

In a lot of cases (and yes this is super cheesy) the thing that makes you unique is you.

It's your content, your brand, and your voice.
