Founded in 1925, Opie Oils is now the UK's largest independent retailer of automotive oils & fluids. Over the last few years they have expanded into the car parts and accessories market, covering over 100 automotive brands.

THE PROBLEM 👎
Opie Oils approached Custard for help with their paid digital marketing strategy. They were suffering from low click-through rates and high CPA, resulting from poorly optimised campaigns that were targeting the wrong search terms.

OUR SOLUTION 💡
Our focus in managing Opie Oils' paid search accounts was to increase CTR and reduce CPA by creating laser-targeted campaigns that didn't include irrelevant keywords. We continuously manage the paid search account to improve performance, making tweaks where necessary and constantly broadening the range of campaigns.

THE RESULTS 🏆
Comparing paid search performance from the first year of service vs. the one prior shows a dramatic turnaround in efficiency and improved commercial performance. Although the number of users coming to the site from paid ads decreased by 13%, bounce rates dropped by 19%, conversion rate increased by 111% and revenue went up by a huge 116%.

OpenAI have confirmed that GPT-4 will be made available to users worldwide very soon!

GPT-4 is the latest upgrade to the ChatGPT model, which has made some serious waves in the SEO world this year so far, having caused a sharp uptick in the amount of AI generated copy found online.

According to OpenAI, GPT-4 will be multimodal, meaning users may be able to input and even generate image, video and audio content through the popular chatbot. Currently, ChatGPT only allows users to interact with the platform through text.

Whether you love it, hate it or are yet to give it a go for yourself, ChatGPT has already rocked the world of SEO - and it doesn't look like that's about to slow down any time soon.
