Stour Driftwork has a collection of handmade art, crafts and gifts inspired by a tidal estuary and coastal living, using materials that have been unremittingly lifted and re-deposited by each returning tide. Impregnated with water, salt and sand, they were found half buried in the detritus of a tideline and subsequently recovered from their previous fate of tide and weather. Others have contorted

twisted shapes but by placing one time ridden piece against another, original and unique pieces have been fashioned offering a new role for these abandoned remnants.
